A lot of the features we demonstrated in the video came with iOS 12. If you have an older iPad, like most of those that Janome gave away with the purchase of a 15000, you are unable too update past iOS 9. Otherwise go to Settings -> General -> Software Update and update to the latest version.

Thank you for the information about the purple tip needles. I spent quite a while on the internet yesterday trying to source the Organ equivalent here in the U.K. but couldn’t find any. I finally phoned Organ and was told they can only provide them for the USA/Canada market. I purchased 2x100 boxes from America as, including shipping and import tax, that’s way cheaper than buying Janome ones in 5 packs. They should arrive in a few weeks.

I have the same issue with the Notes app on all my devices! I’m so envious of those that have all these neat features! Help!

You need to deal with your dealer.  Even in Canada the usb stick with designs came with the RE18 hoop.

Totally agree with Carole’s comments below on this video. And such a good idea to save to your reading list. Thanks Jim and Diane.

Jim and Diane, this is an excellent video.  I use Notes for other things, but this takes it to a new level.  I saved the video to the reading list on my iPad.  Now, I can view the video there and do not need to be on wifi.  Thank you for putting this together.  We learn so much from you.  Well done!

Yes, they will play on anything that accepts YouTube video. That includes most PCs.

Thanks for the needle info. I've jotted the details in front of my manual. Seems the Janome 15000 takes the same needles as the multineedle machine. Nice to use one box for both machines.

Re: Thread problem? Photos

I just fixed that problem.  I spent about three hours yesterday, changing needle, tension, speed, taking bobbin area apart, cleaning, changing bobbin holder, ohhhh, other methods as well.  Late last night had a thought, remove and clean the inside of the thread guide.  Did this and "wow" by magic I just finished my design, even using metallic thread.  I can not stress this enough that we should all clean this area as this is the second time I have had this happen.  It is on pg 159 of the manual.  If you have the new manual it may be on another page.  You can be sure I won't forget this again, at least hopefully, ha, Claire S.

I have experienced this same shredding when doing embroidery. The thread was shredding just like your picture and it was showing the bobbin thread on the top. I was using Mettler 40 weight polyester embroidery thread and a size 11 organ needle.

Where was this posted Anne?
I have the version 5 and I'm interested in the 5.5 version, but I would like more information as to what this upgrade has in it, and can do.
Is it supported or not? What's new about it?
I haven't been able to find any such information about this 5.5 version anywhere on the web, even the Janome website.
I have contacted my dealer and they haven't gotten any information on it either.
