Re: Saving designs to work on both 350E and the 15000
Susan-
You are right- if you download a design from online and get it in jef format... it should be right for the 350e. The exception is if it's oriented in the correct direction for the hoop. If

Re: Magnets
Remember you will usually have seams (that are hopefully straight) to keep it line up. Then you forward to the first (or last) stitch to make sure it connects with the last design.

Hi Pixey,
Now that I can see how you do it, I can see that doing a placemat would be simple. But what about a larger quilt?
Would those magnets hold a large quilt in place? Also, I could be wrong,

Yes, that's the dish soap I used. I have always had to go to great extents to get it off, so maybe it's whatever my hoops are made of. They're quite old. I will definitely keep dish soap in mind for

Need help quilting over thick seams
I really do want to quilt this using a design I bought from Designs by JuJu. It's cute and perfect but I cannot get it to stitch out without a mess on the back (see photos) due to my thick seams. In

Re: Saving designs to work on both 350E and the 15000
Two other things did occur to me. The 350e was based on very early computer technology.
It did not allow or recognize any design file names over 8 alphanumeric characters. And would NOT allow spaces

Re: Saving designs to work on both 350E and the 15000
This is where my designs are for the 350e on my 15000 so should work when I send them to a formatted 350e usb. Think I will have to contact Janome’s tech guy as going around in circles…

Re: Saving designs to work on both 350E and the 15000
Not sure this is correct as long as the design is small enough to fit a 350e hoop and is in the correct format and saved correctly which is where I might be going wrong it should work!!! After all

Re: Sticky Stuff off hoops
I read on this forum that alcohol is NOT good for our hoops. If washing with warm soap and water won't work, I wonder if lemon OIL (not juice) would harm our hoops. It works great on sticky residue

Cardboard frames sounds like a great idea! I generally use 505 spray as sparingly as possible-other suggestions would be welcome. Thx!

Re: Magnets
Does anyone think the magnets at say Hobby Lobby would work. Also, do they have any negative effect on the embroidery machine itself. Thx for any input.
