Actually the 12000 also uses JPX, in addition to JEF and JEF+. The JPX format was created for the 12000, and includes the ability to embed a JPEG

I believe the jpx format is like a jpeg. You need to transfer the jef file over - not the jpx

Phyllis, The 12000 uses JEF not JPX format. I think JPX was 11000 but can't say for sure since this is my 1st Janome embroidery machine.

There should never be enough slack in the thread for it to come out of that area, unless the metal thread guide is bent. Your dealer should be able to take care of that. I would also recommend that he

I have done the update but it does notlist the JPX format.
In fact I created a sample, then openedEmbird and it could not see it.
I agree with you that it was worth atry.

Jim after we thread in the take up lever it goes straight down and is asideof a part of the machine that is shaped like a triangle. If the threadcomes out of that triangle it comes out of the take up

Just Brought home 12000 and found this group

I have had that same problem both with my 11,000 and my 12,000. WhenI took my machine into the dealer for the update in June they kept it and Ibelieve they called it bridgeing. Never did tell me why

You can use the back and forward arrows to skip back and forth between colors. I do that sometimes when I am doing applique and I want to sew all the placement stitching first, and then all the tack

Phyllis, Embird just upgraded 2 days ago ($20 for upgrade--includes upgrade to plug-ins you have) & now supports MC 12000 & should also support JEF format if that helps any.
