Janome has released a digitizer product called Artistic Digitizer. There is also a “Junior” version, the Janome Artistic Edge cutter comes with a ‘specialized’ version of it called Artistic

I thought it was an interesting feature, too…saw it on BL, but wondered how often it goes wrong and feed dogs get wonky and/or need adjustment.
