iPad and pencil
Hi.
What is the most affordable iPad and Apple Pencil? Don’t need anything fancy, but don’t want to waste my money either. My iPad won’t support a pencil and doesn’t have enough storage.

Re: Threading Machine Tips
Last year, I had two different shops say they could not get them anymore. However, I just checked the Superior Threads site and they show it as Out of Stock but more expected in on 5/21.

Re: Diane’s magnetic hoop
Just as FYI, the "Mending Plates" I received from the Amazon link Jim provided were a Stanley product, Item 75-5851. I would kind of expect to see these in just about any hardware store, if needed

Re: Mbx 5.5 will not open
Sandy posted this link for the HASP driver and it worked great on my computer. I used her instructions for installing Digitizer Pro and was able to get my old software up and running.
Be sure to

Times like this are when you really want to have an image backup of your C drive, but I suspect you don't have that. It sounds like you may have multiple problems happening at once. Windows allows

Re: Threading Machine Tips
re: Superior Thread Stand: oh, that would be sad if they don't make it anymore, it's a really good thread holder.
It's the one I get the best results with for monofilament thread and metallics...

Re: Janome HD Roller Foot for Janome 7mm and 9mm High Shank Machines
I purchased one on sale last fall to use on my HD9 when sewing purse style projects but have not had a chance to use it yet because things got sidetracked for a few months by my husband’s recovery

Re: Diane's DIY magnetic hoop
Thank you so much for these great tips!
I never realized or thought about switching end of spool with notch; as it’s always frustrating when it gets caught.
Love this

Sadly, the last time I checked, I was told that Superior had discontinued this version of their thread stand.

Re: Janome HD Roller Foot for Janome 7mm and 9mm High Shank Machines
Janome dealers should all carry the foot compatible with the 15000. Just last week I asked my dealer about it and am scheduled to go in and test it out before purchasing it.
It's pretty expensive so

Threading Machine Tips
I copied some good information regarding how to thread the sewing machine based on the types of spools.
This is from the "We All Sew" website sponsored by Bernina, so the machines in the pictures

Re: Diane's DIY magnetic hoop
Interesting that you say you always heard that the thread should come off the bottom not the top of the spool when in the horizontal position!
I always have heard and done the opposite, Off the Top!

Janome HD Roller Foot for Janome 7mm and 9mm High Shank Machines
I have just watched video for a roller foot that has a small 'tire' on the side. It can be used for free motion quilting, stitch in the ditch and much more. It was originally meant for sewing
