Re: Horizon link lost
If you have a 15000 it should boot up and tell you the version number on screen. Version 3 is the newest upgrade/update. If it is lower you should have it updated.

Re: Horizon link lost
How do you know if your machine needs the upgrade? I think I did that several years ago, but don't know how to tell.
Thanks.

Re: Horizon link lost
Carole;
Many, many thanks for the link. I was in the same predicament with a new computer. I emailed Janome support but it appears to be snowing on the East Coast, so far no response.

Re: Ticking sound from Skyline S7 Model
A stepper motor is a specialized motor that does not turn in full revolutions. Instead it moves in very precise "steps". When you adjust your stitch width the stepper motor for that function moves

Re: Ticking sound from Skyline S7 Model
Thank you, Jim for the good news re: the ticking noise from my S7. What, exactly, is a stepper motor? And how many are in a machine? And what is the normal function of a stepper motor? I have heard

Re: Horizon link lost
I contacted Janome last week because I had to update HLS for my 15000. Here is the link Janome sent me. I had no problems with the update from this link. Hope this helps.

Re: Horizon link lost
Start by installing HLS from the CD. Then you’ll need to contact Janome to get a link to the update download to update HLS to 1.3. When you download the update, be sure to save it in case you need

Had computer on for some issues. My files are all on, but my program are gone. I have my machine v 3 (quiltmaker). No link on computer. Do I need to install the original horizon likely disk ?

Re: 15000 Quilt Maker upgrade question.
You could update to 2.11, but the V3 update would overwrite it. Since you have already arrange to have V3 installed I wouldn’t bother with 2.11.

Re: Ticking sound from Skyline S7 Model
Diagnosing this is pretty difficult from thousands of miles away, especially considering that it has stopped ticking. My best guess is that the initial tangle caused one of the internal stepper motors
