Can't get machine to recognize design
Jim,
I have the 12000, but only Digitizer Pro Software. No MBX yet. I bought a Husqvarna design that is huge--two parts, each part 345 mm height by 339 mm width. I thought it would fit in the SQ23

Thanks ever so much Jim. It worked. I did have to change pressure foot pressure to 2 & may try to lessen top tension next time. It would be great to have a few extra sentences in the manual about

Re: Need help with variable zigzag & freemotion
Thanks Jim. Now I'll try to get to that T-Shirt again. It's testing my patience today. But I will get there.

The knee lever only controls zigzag width, although when it stops

Re: Need help with variable zigzag & freemotion
The knee lever only controls zigzag width, although when it stops you can also use it to raise or lower the presser foot. To get it to start stitching without a foot control you must push the START

I put feed dogs down (I think). Got to the page where I select Center 2 or Left 2, put in the knee bar, I have QV foot attached to the ankle that was attached to "A" foot as I see no other ankles

I was under the impression that we were talking about free motion couching. It sounds like you are talking about a regular sewing foot. For that the Janome Beading Feet set would work like your HV

I opened my Husqvarna yarn couching Foot set today. It had 2 sets of guides. The smaller set fits almost perfectly on the 12000 lid. Neither the feet or ankle fit on the 12000. However, I read

The difference between the 11000 and 12000, as far as feet are concerned, is the zig zag width. On the 12000 it's 9mm. On all other top load computer models it's 7mm. However you can use all of the

Janome feet for 12000
I just got my 12000 and have not opened yet. I plan to do so this weekend and watch the instructional CD first.
However I was told that the feet for the Janome 11000 fill not fit the Janome 12000.

Re: Yarn Couching Foot?
It's not the same as the same as the Miracle Stitcher foot. The Yarn Embroidery foot is a plastic foot used only in embroidery mode. You cannot move the needle in that mode, so it probably will not

Re: Yarn Couching Foot?
If that's the same as the old Miracle Stitcher foot, then the needle does hit it but you might be able to move it over enough to work. The zig zag width would be limited. Joy

Janome has the Brush-Out Embroidery Kit, part #200383006. It has a special foot that feeds the yarn while it's being stitched down. This is a high-shank foot, so it would fit the 12000, but it's also

Re: Bobbins
Don't use the size L bobbins in your 12000, and don't waste money on an adapter. Wind them onto Janome bobbins instead. In the future use only class 15 (aka size A) prewound bobbins.

Re: What size surge procector
I'm assuming you mean he got a 2500 VA uninterruptible power supply. That would be fine. If it's just a surge suppressor (no battery), size doesn't matter. Those are good until the first surge, but

how to add my name to member list yet.
Bought my first Viking in 1978 when warranties were still 25 years.
