Your bobbin case problem is in the machine itself. Either the bobbin has a burr, or there is damage to the bobbin case and/or hook race. Any kind of burr or rough edge with catch the thread as a

1.No issue with the machine
2. You buy the software, there is no training (in the U.K. anyway) so you just have to muddle through so can waste lots of time. Lots of issues with MBX

Biggest problem is that unless I use a “starter” piece of material or start the sewing in the middle of a seam, it tends to jump out of the take-up lever or won’t advance onto my fabric.
