You’re right that classes are often sales pitches for new products. Those ones are often free at your dealer though, and they have other paid classes where you make something, usually store

Jim, like Sparkle I am in the UK, my dealer shut up shop last year, his wife would demonstrate the various brands of software, they would both give basic instruction on how to use the various brands

The Couching Kit is used with embroidery designs, so the stitch is controlled entirely by the machine. You can't use the feet in this kit for ordinary sewing with any stitch.

Have you tried winding a bobbin in the sewing mode lately? If so, the problem is with the winder not with whether it’s in embroidery or sewing mode!
