Travel case for large machines
Just wanted to share with group perhaps another option for wheeled bag for the 15000 and and other similar sizes of janome machines. I was already the owner of a Brother Laura Ashley Innovis 5000

Re: Travel machine ( mostly for patchwork sessions)?
Thanks for the overall height - I'll consider that when buying another car next year, though would need a reasonable height and low back for the dog.
Just thinking - regarding getting it into the car.

Re: Travel machine ( mostly for patchwork sessions)?
Does your 15000 fit in the XL? I love mine, but couldn't get the machine in. I didn't try putting it in from the top because I didn't think it would fit, and it's so heavy. I may look at some small

Re: Travel machine ( mostly for patchwork sessions)?
Pat - do you take your 15000 to meetings? I'd be afraid to make it travel that much. Maybe I'm just chickenššš

Jollyne,
Re lifting a filled Tutto XL -
I squat a little, grab the bag by the support pieces on each end (the ones that fold to make the bag "flat" for storage, above the end pockets), and then pick

Re: Skyline S9
I bought my Skyline 9 about 6 weeks ago. I love it. I haven't done any embroidery yet, but the sewing features are great. I'm having some trouble with the needle threader, but others with higher end

I wonder if anyone has a Skyline S9 and would care to give their opinion of it?
Many thanks

Re: Travel machine ( mostly for patchwork sessions)?
Pat,
How do you lift the darn thing when its all packed up???
I am pretty strong, but the size of the TuTTo XL makes it very difficult to lift.

Cutting templates
I received an e-mail from Martelli about an upcoming sale, and happened to watch a video on their templates designed to cut shapes exactly the right size. Has anyone used them? I just bought 2 feet

Re: Travel machine ( mostly for patchwork sessions)?
Same reason I got the S7 ( known as the Atelier 7 in the U.K.) I know I can switch between the two and use the same feet without worrying about what fits where! A great machine!

Re: Travel machine ( mostly for patchwork sessions)?
I purchased the Skyline S7 on the advice of this group and am certainly glad I did. I go between it and my 15000 without even thinking about it. Everything is just the same.

Re a wheeled case for your 15000, I tried the Janome molded case and did not like it at all. I found it exceedingly cumbersome to get the machine into it, and then there was no real room for anything

Acufil using purchased designs?
Can the Acufil system be used with designs purchased in the .jef format? I've not found a way to import designs but this question has come up in another group trying to use the Edge to Edge Quilting

Re: Travel machine ( mostly for patchwork sessions)?
I imagine that would be a great choice. I have the 3160, its predessor, and it sews very well. I would have loved to trade up, but it would have cost me $200, and I'm still paying for my 15000! in
