Re: Janome 15000
I would recommend the My 15000 app from Diane and Jim that is available for the iPad. You won't need lessons if you get this app and really use it to guide you. Since you are familiar with Janome

Re: Another Newbie Question - 'using up' bobbins
So, the 12000 stops when it's really out of bobbin thread? That's the machine I have, so I think I'll try that. It's not an issue when I can actually see the bobbin.

Re: Floriani Thread
My current favorite is metro thread. I know some machines don't like it, but I love the sheen. And the price!

Re: Another Newbie Question - 'using up' bobbins
I have found when the bobbin warning goes off, I can leave that thread on, tie a tiny square knot and wind more thread on. This has never caused a problem because the bobbin warning usually goes off

I will look forward to the results of your Acusetter research Jim.
Yes I was thinking the iPad needs a frame perhaps to keep it still but then I realised that that is exactly what the clothsetter is,

What I have done while embroidering towels was use adhesive stabilizer n hooped that. Then I would put water soluble stabilizer on the front and sick the risk to the hooped adhesive. It works

Re: Member Survey
Jim, my question about either of those alternative methods for communicating would be, does either of the two have a way to store information like files and archives? I find the archives very handy

Re: : New Acusetter app
Using her Maker skills, Diane has come up with a simple solution. We'll have the details in a couple of days. Right now we're busy getting ready for her turn hosting "Game Night" for the neighbors.

Re: Another Newbie Question - 'using up' bobbins
I always use the bobbin till it is empty, as my 350E and 12000 machines stop and I change it then.
I helped a friend recently hang 2 more thread spool holders and she had several 1/4 left bobbins in

Re: Floriani Thread
The last time I was in World Weidner the owner talked me in to trying some variegated Aurifil that they just started stocking. It’s actually a cotton thread for quilting, but I tried it on a canvas

I am really interested in this. We binned our cable package at the end of last year because it was way over priced for what we watched. We bought a Roku streaming stick which we use to watch
