Re: Seams puckering during paper piecing
I think I have the issue resolved. I put in an 11 sized needle, changed the paper to a Carol Doak paper piecing paper, left the tension on auto, stitch length at 1.6, and decreased the foot pressure

Re: Re Artistic Edge
I saw the Artistic Edge demonstrated 2 weeks ago and what a dream machine. It comes with its own software and does amazing cuts. I think that one would want to put your "iron on adhesive" first

Hi Linda
I have tried mine a few different ways and find if I use heatbond and some embroidery stabilizer behind the heat bond it comes out the best. Makes a really nice clean cut.. I had a few issues

Re: Re Artistic Edge
I believe any cutter requires the fabric to be stabilized. I'm know the Cameo and Cricut require it. I don't have the Artistic but sure it would as well.

Can you tell me if the fabrics were stabilized before cutting or placed on the matt by themselves?
Thanks,

12000 enlargement question
Hi!
I had a design that I brought in to my 12000. I enlarged it 10%. When it showed up on the screen, it looked like one design, with the same design on top. It stitched out correctly (all 7 colors)

Re: Re Artistic Edge
What cutter would you recommend for someone that does quilting only and possibly in the future garments.

I have the software but not the Artistic cutter. It's been too long since my class on it but I believe designs can be sent direct to the sewing machine from the computer with the software? Either

Re Artistic Edge
I have read your newer posts about the difference between the Edge and the Cricut and Cameo etc very interesting info.
There could be some differences in maybe that it sends to your machine one way

I bought the Artistic software at a Janome event at my dealer last year. That was just before the Artistic cutter came on the market. I have the Cameo. I have not had time to play with my software

It could be possible that the newsprint is too thin to use for paper piecing. I always use photocopy paper and set my stitch length to 1.5 and I never have any problems at all, even the tension is

Re: Seams puckering during paper piecing
Check to be sure you're using the red dot bobbin case that is for regular sewing. The yellow dot embroidery bobbin case has much higher tension so could be causing the puckering.

Seams puckering during paper piecing
First of all, thanks to all who respond with a tip. I am doing my first ever paper piecing project making 68 blocks for a quilt. I am using my Janome 15000, Aurfil 50 wt. thread, a Schmetz 70/10
