Just thought I'd mention there is a video on how to attach the dual feed holder in the help videos and in Horizon Link Suite - plus instructions in the manual on page 20.
It seems the manual either

Well I think I have found the reason for the dual feed foot not feeding my sandwich of fabrics - I hadn't properly attached the top lever.
I found this by reattaching the foot and this time ensuring

Re: suggestion for Janome: metal hopping foot--Q for Jim
Thanks Jim. Easier to just buy one! I’ll call Fabric Garden and see if Kala has one in stock—I’ll go look at it and see if I can fiddle with mine or easier to just buy one!
Cheers,

oops! trouble with dual feed
Oh so sorry, I misspoke about how to engage the Acuflex feet on the machine! I gave instructions for my old 6600 and that was not the same as for our 12000 and 15000 machines. On the Janome 6600

Re: Save your hoops with this method...
I think it makes sense. I didn’t know the screws would strip outeither. If you skip to about 4:59 is when she actually shows what she’sdoing.

Did you check to be sure the finger/lever in the back was fully engaged when you put on the foot? I've had it pop/slip out when I was sewing something bulky so had to keep an eye on it. It wasn't

Are you sure that the dual feed in engaged. Sometimes the little gizmo at the back needs to be popped into its resting spot. If it is not the fabric will not feed or at least not well.

Re: Dual foot wouldn't feed ...!?
If it won't feed it's probably because you didn't "engage" the mechanism to make it work.
After you screw the foot onto the needle bar be sure to pull the mechanism down and forward to lock it onto

Re: Save your hoops with this method...
I learned in my Embroidery Club to always use strips of shelf liner along the sides of the hoop when hooping only stabilizer. This keeps the thin layer tight.
