Footbook app on iPad
Jim, are you going to update the footbook app? I noticed at least one foot missing that we have for the 9mm section and that is the "Clear View Quilting Foot and Guide Set". . Great reference

Newbie Question
I've had my gently used 12000 for several months now, but have barely used it. I do very little - if any - actual sewing, other than what I need to sew in order to quilt. I've done some piecing on

For regular quilting I use the red dot.
If I understand your question about the use of the embroidery thread on topand in the bobbin. Not bobbin thread in the bobbin unless you had a colourto match

Joy
Are you using the straight stitch needle plate? The holes are smaller and don’t tend to pull the fabric down in quite asbad.

9mm throat plate query
Since sewing on my mc15000 I have been having a problem with the start & end of my seams being gobbled & bunched by the machine. I did not have this problem to this degree on my former 7mm machines.

Re: Hands on workshop on 12000 and 15000--Anne in the UK
I'm so glad I'm not the only one.
I think it's because the machine is now so long from one end to the other and the knee lift has to be where it is that the distance has increased from where you sit

Margaret, I'm with Anne on the knee lift and that is after I adjusted it per the manual. Drat. I've sewn on Berninas for decades and love their knee lift; this one is just an awkward stretch to get to

Have you tried changing the orientation of the knee lift? In the manual it shows you how to do that…I did and now I am fine with the angle of it being much closer.

I have tried all the feet. I think I was having the most luck with the PD-H, mainly because I could see what I was doing better. I may even cut an opening on the red lines.
