From what I've read you can't import designs, but you can import images and then trace them - so just need to scan something in or convert a file to an image file.
I've got EQ7 and still learning that

Thanks for that information. I hadn't realized that those screws didn't actually do anything. So I can just unscrew them and attach anything I can fit to those points on the machine as an extra

I have two on my 5 spool holder. They can't sit next to each other but can have a "normal 1100" spool between. If I can remember how to upload a photo, I'll post one.

I have some Sulky embriodery thread on 5000 meter cones, which measure 3 inches across at the base, will these fit on either the 2 or 5 thread spool stands. Thanks.

There are 2 little screw holes on the back side of the machine, with screws in place. Just unscrew them, and install the holder

I think you might find Embird what your looking for. You can edit designs and resize to any size you want. I have used it for years and love it. It will work with any format.

Is there a photo somewhere showing exactly how the thread holder fits on the 15000 - does it screw on somehow or just slot over the handle. I can't seem to find anything that shows you exactly how

I have it and it has great potential! It is actually an amazing program! I have designed applique with embroidery design for the appliqué edge quite successfully.
