Mine did that too, called the tech line, and I ended up sending it back, got another one, it works like a charm.    But I was broken hearted when that broken thread message kept showing up, nanometers is so good, please call who you got it from, they will remedy this.

I had the problem before Christmas, I deleted the app and downloaded again and it works fine, just opened it and it’s ok.

Re: AcuSketch

I just tried.  I can’t get in as well.   They must have an issue with app.  When this happens for other apps I try again the next day most time they corrected the problem by then

It sounds like it's crashing. Try this: double tap the HOME button. If your iPad doesn't have that button, swipe up just a little so that it exposes all the apps. Swipe UP on the AcuSketch app to terminate it. Then try to launch it again.

Re: Dime Monster Snap Hoop

I just ordered the monster snap hoops for my 550e.  I bought the 8x8 and the 8x12.  Does anyone know if there is any special set up I need to do?  Do I just use the select the regular hoop that is the same size?

Thanks!

Lynn,

Hopefully that dealer didn't take the machine apart and ruin it.  I'd collect it as soon as possible, take it to your original dealer's technician, get a detailed invoice of what he/she does to the 11000.  I'd then be tempted to take it back to the "bad guy" and show him/her what scammers they are.

I like you gave my 11000 to my daughter back in 2014 or so and she runs it with no issues.  I almost got myself into a pickle here as I also gave my MC6000 another daughter for a wedding gift, as it was better than most new machines of the price I'd get to sell it - that was in 2004, and she still uses that machine to hem her pants, mend what needs mending and I KNOW that machine hasn't been in for a service since I had it serviced to give to her.  As for the 11000, I also know that it hasn't been in either and both work just fine.  Yours should too if that twit hasn't messed with it.

I hope that you can get this resolved so that your daughter can enjoy lots of "good" sewing and embroidery with her gift from you.

Thanks Jim. It didn’t sound on the up-and-up to me.

That's good to know! Maybe that will be helpful for others, but I don't have the Flower Stitch attachment anymore, gave it away when I gave the machine.

The "cycling through error messages" sounds bogus to me. Normally if there is an error it stops right there. I would take it back to your original dealer who serviced it to begin with. There's no such thing as "sat for too long".

Clare Rowley-Creative Feet has adaptors for high-low feet, Claire S.

If you could find an adapter for the high shank-to-low shank you could maybe get the Flower Stitch Attachment to work.
I did that on another brand of machine that came with an adapter, but when we (at our local shop) looked for an adapter to fit the Janome High Shank machines I never found one that fit correctly.
I think the one we tried was from Elna.

Servicing an 11000

Lynn Fisher

I gave my daughter my 11000 about 4 years ago. I had it serviced just before I gave it to her. She has not used it very much but wanted to start using it and so took it in for servicing again (different dealer). The dealer said it keeps cycling through error messages when he tries to turn it on. He thinks it might have sat for too long, and that a lot of the internal lubrication might not be good. He said he would almost have to rebuild it to fix it at this point, and that it would take a long time. Does this sound accurate? It has had no problems up to now. Should I take it to my original dealer for another opinion? Any ideas on what could be going on?

Thanks in advance.

Re: Conversion software

Outcome....
In the past I used Convert-It, but it won't run on the newest Mac OS.  To make a long story short, my Mac desktop in and older Mac and could not be updated  beyond Catalina.  (Lucky me!)  Convert-It opened but it asked me for my Key Code.  I have no idea where I would have saved that, so I wrote to Embird.  They found my original registration and gave me the code!  I'm back in business!!!!  Thanks for all your suggestions.

It's possible that they started making it again, or more likely found some stock they are trying to get rid of. We've been out of the business for 10 years, so anything is possible! There might be a dealer somewhere that still has one.
