Sounds like either the power supply, a sensor or a main board.  Some of these things are no longer available on an 11000 She will have to take it to a dealer

One-Inch Grid for Ironing Table Cover

All --

I have an old table (30" x 72") that I use to iron on while sewing.  I know you can purchase VERY expensive canvas covers for drapery workroom tables, but I don't want to invest that much, especially since my table is considerably smaller than a workroom table.  Does anyone know where I could buy cheaper cotton or duck fabric with a 1-inch grid? The grid does not have to be numbered, although that would be great.

Thanks.

If you look in the files section of this group under Horizon Link Software the different subjects are listed. I copied them and had it printed.   Worth the time, Claire S.

Re: Permanently change a Default on Skyline 7?

If you have the Favorite Stitch Adjustment turned "on", you can set the foot pressure for each stitch individually. The link shows the manual page with the directions for this. I don't know of a way to change the factory default settings other than to ask your dealer to adjust it when it's in for service.

It worked perfectly the way you described.  The design defaulted to the hoop the design would accommodate.  I then resized the design and edited the hoop.  Thank you.

Permanently change a Default on Skyline 7?

Kathy Strabel

Hello-  I hope all are still doing well and getting lots of sewing done.
Is it possible to permanently override the default settings on the Skyline 7 machine? I specifically would like to have the default for the foot pressure loosened up so it is 2 "clicks" lower than the factory-set default. I find my machine stitches much better with the looser presser foot pressure. I can always set it 2 clicks lower, but every time I change to a different stitch, or even change the length or width of the same stitch, I have to re-do the presser foot pressure setting every time.  Without making this adjustment, the hook that holds in my walking foot in its holder pops out all the time, and  I have have other inconveniences happen with the default setting---for instance, I wanted to pleat for making some masks, and the foot just pushed the pleats forward so they were flat instead of actual pleats! Very frustrating, so I just changed to a different style of mask and make a bunch to donate.   PLease advise re: the default setting question.  Thank you!

Hi Cheryl:

Thanks again for being there for me.  You have no idea how much I appreciate it.

Yes, best way is 1 design at a time.  I think moving forward, I will probably just use the USB stick.  Much easier and less tension (big smile).

I printed out your email and it's in a folder by my machine!

Thanks again, you are the best.

June,
Good for you. You made it. Keep at it. Write down what you do and tape it to your 15000 (just kidding) so you never forget and have a reminder. I think that sometimes the biggest challenge is getting what you want/need to where it’s wanted. Sewists aren’t necessarily computer wizards, but I think that technology is trying to get us there.

You probably figured out that transferring designs is a “one at a time” process or at least that’s the only way I’ve done it. Also using a USB is the easiest way that I’ve found. If the WiFi works and everything is open on the right page in both the computer and sewing machine it usually works, but as you found, not always.

Have fun at your class.

Re: Resize embroidery design

I would contact Dusan at Embird he could tell you the scope of resizing a photo of the design would help him is a shot in the dark without seeing the design.
Vicki
Embird plus Embird Studio to resize
a hefty price to resize one design
better to ask the original design creator.

HL only will increase/decrease the design by 20% if that. To make the design fit the ASQ22 hoop you would need a program that could do so. MBX or Embird or another type of software. I believe that Wilcom has a free program as a download,  https://www.wilcom.com/products/truesizerproducts.aspx

When you bring your design up on your machine's screen - put it into the hoop that it wants you to use, even tho it's not the one you will end up using.  That way the design will show up and you can edit it in that hoop.  Re-size it there and then change your hoop to the one you want when it will fit inside it.  Be sure to save the re-sized design with a new name so you can keep the original file as well.

Well, I will be a son of a gun.  I decided to try one more time; and after a few tries, got all 8 files send over.

Whew, whew and whew!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Again, sorry for the bother.  But, I still feel this should be easier.

Thanks so much for your understanding.

Re: Resize embroidery design

Cheryl Paul

Carole,

If the design is shaped to fit the GR hoop, you may not be able to resize it to fit the SQ22 as one is rectangular and the other square. The next thing is that you can only resize designs by up to 20% either way. ie: 100% to 80% or 120%. Some designs can only be resized by 10%. This is for Horizon Like Suite or on the edit screen of the sewing machine. Also if the purchased design is not in portrait position it won’t rotate either. If you have digitizing software, you should be able to get it to the size you need.

Hi Cheryl - Saskatoon (& anyone else wanting to jump in, smile).

I made baby steps today.  Got my JEF files to open (they show on the left side) & on the right side shows Built In (machine) & two USB ports.  When I click on the built in, sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't, says wi-fi connection error - or if I'm successful, it lists folders, EMBF, New Folder & 3 files I have there.  So, on my machine, I have it set to the "hoop window".  When I clicked on the JEF folders & hit the right arrow; it errors, so I tried to send one square at a time (there are 8 squares); and I managed to get 1 to send.  All of the rests, it errors with either:  wi-fi connetion problem, or the machine failed to receive.  I went into settings on Horizon & clicked on my machine.  But as soon as I leave this screen, the setting doesn't hold?  Is my machine supposed to remain there?  I go to the machine & sometimes it shows something transmitting with a yellow warning sign on top of screen.

Nothing should be this hard.  So, my class is tomorrow & I've already spent too much time with this, I will use my flash drive in the machine for class tomorrow.

Any suggestions?  Sorry for being such a pest.

Again, wish there was some info in writing somewhere.

Thanks for even just listening.
