Hello, Jim, A  question, about the video stream you mention . What is this & ? Are you speaking of internet streaming , like the Netflix on the TV or on a computer.
How would I achieve this ? I only have used my iPad that came with my machine or phone. for the MY15000 App.
Thanks to you and Diane for the 1500 App !  It is amazing...

Yes, The 15000 is amazing machine... The   MY15000  App from the App store  is amazing & a necessity !  . I also have the Floriani Stabilizers App.  It  is  SUPER  for telling you what products to use over & under each type of embroidery project.... so much to learn.

Accu-Feed Foot VD

Kathy Strabel

Hello Group Members---  I have a Janome Skyline 7 and use the narrow Accuf-Feed foot VD. However, the hook that keeps the foot engaged is always slipping out of the slot as I sew along. I mean, almost every 2-3minutes it slips out!!  And yes, it is firmly clicked-in to the slot each time. This happens when there is a fairly small size "hump" like a crossing seam. It happens when I am sewing fairly fast, but nowhere near the maximum speed. It happens where there is no "hump" at all.  It is VERY. ANNOYING.  I found that applying a piece of Gorilla Tape across the slot where the the hook goes is a temporary, and not a very good "fix". Apparently Janome is aware of this problem with the foot and I have seen other people make the same complaint, so I don't think it is operator error in my case.  I have not seen any evidence that Janome intends to do anything about this problem. It is making me think less and less of Janome  products in general.  Does anyone know why this even happens? Is there any way to REALLY fix this annoying  thing??  Janome needs to devise a strong clip or something that would fit over the slot and keep the hook from popping out and making the foot lose contact with the top layer of fabric.  Because of this problem, my S7 is definitely NOT suited for any kind of  totebag-making, home dec work,  or anything heavier than a medium-weight dress fabric. I have seen others say that their Skylines are great for the more heavy-duty stuff----so....is there something wrong with my particular machine???  Or something wrong with the foot itself?
Thank You,
Kathy Strabel    Camas WA

Because it's a very fine polyester thread, it's especially subject to static in winter, much like clothing clinging to your pantyhose. Room humidifier, thread net, switch spool to horizontal feed, and Sewer's Aid lubricant are the only winter remedies I know of if your problem is static. That said, static usually causes shredding, but can also contribute to thread nests.

Re: See machine message

I have one suggestion for you to check.  When I first got my machine I had all kinds of problems and they all were caused by my needle plate not being placed on the bed of the machine correctly.  Even if the plate closes and you pushed on the little circle to close it, it could still be in wrong.  The problem I had was my left hand front corner was raised a tiny bit.  Try running your hand along all four corners of your needle plate.  It must be exactly flat with the bed of the machine.  If you feel it raised a tiny bit in any corner, it is not in correctly.  I have to check this step every time I change needle plates and I have learned exactly how I must insert my needle plate for all to match up.  It was a very simple fix for my many problems.  I am hoping this might help you also.

The app in the Apple app and it is under my15000 should be 59.99 I just double checked and it is there.  Do not put a space, one word maybe that is why you couldn’t find it.  It is a picture of a sewing machine.

We don’t have any apps in the Google Play store, as we only develop for iPhone and iPad. At present we don’t have plans to do a 500E app.

Embroidery with Fine Thread

J Fraker

I digitized a simple stippling design and tried to stitch it out on a quilt sandwich using So Fine thread from Superior threads.  My machine will stitch for a bit, then either I will get a thread nest or the thread will break.  I have tried everything I could think of:  new needle, new bobbin, reduced tension, slow speed, regular bobbin case, yellow dot bobbin case.  Nothing works.  This the only thread that does that.  The weird thing is, I can do free motion quilting at high speed all day long with this same thread and have zero problems.  It doesn't make sense that it has issues only in embroidery mode.  Anyone have a clue as to what is going on?

I received that same message earlier this week when trying out my Janome 500e for the first time.  It turns out my bobbin was not loaded correctly causing it to break inside the bobbin case.  I found 3-4 broken pieces of bobbin thread in there when I took it apart.  During my New Machine class today the instructor showed my the correct way to load the bobbin.

Elizabeth, you have convinced me to get the ap!  I am one of the few people in this world that do not have access to decent internet😔.  But fiber is being installed in my development as we speak and they tell me we should be hooked up in March.   So, if I get this Ap for my iPad will I also be able to see it on my phone?

Thanks so much for the info!

Re: See machine message

Jim Stutsman

Every time the machine is turned on it runs a self-test. This message comes up when the test fails, but you have no way of knowing what phase failed or what caused the problem. Usually it has to do with the needle plate sensor no registering a valid state. There is no way you can fix this. It requires sensors to be adjusted. Next time you take it in, before you leave the store switch needle plates. Do this 2 or 3 times and confirm that you don't get the message.

NOTE to all posters: When posting a photo please crop and/or resize so it is not so huge. Giant pictures are annoying, but they also make messages take longer to download, which costs more if you are using your data plan to download. Thanks!
