You cannot buy Digitiser V5.5 in Australia....they are not selling it. So if I want to update I will have to over to Hatch

If you are in the USA you can get them from a dealer, anywhere else in the world it’s more difficult, it’s a US publication and we aren’t supposed to be able to get buy across borders.  But if you get a friend to order it and bring it back to your home country who would know.  Or you could try Amazon.com and see if you can get it that way.  I personally think Jim’s My 15000 app and footbook app for iPhone, and iPad,is worth the money and you can get it from the Apple App Store just about anywhere in the world,

No we’re not saying that, the original post stated that all the stitches were greyed out, she had the straight stitch plate on and didn’t realise that changing plates would change the stitches she could use

I found the workbook expensive and not worth the money,   Sold it at a loss

Are you saying I can’t use my zigzag plate to piece? I always have because I want to move the needle. The Janome 1.4” foot for the 12000 is not a 1/4”. It is much bigger and distorts the pattern and I can’t use my 3160 then because that has a true 1/4” seam.

I have been having this problem off and on for the past couple of years.  If anyone has the telephone number to Janome Customer Service – I’d give them a call also.  Too many have the same problem for it not to be an issue that should be resolved by the Company.  Way too expensive machines for them NOT to run!

Yes but it doesn’t last. It eventually starts all over again. I have been at this for months!

I have both the My15000 and the Janome 1500 workbook and I use them both. Jim and Diane's videos are great and I have learned a lot from them. For a quick answer I do refer to the workbook. The workbook does have some complete project directions which if you like doing projects with using the special features can be helpful.

I stayed with MBX and upgraded to 5.5 mostly because with it really has the Janome hoops and writes to Horizon Link as well as using wifi to send to the machine. It also has the cutwork and crossstitch programs included. Hatch has a couple of features that I would like, but I had to make a choice and the upgrade was cheaper than Hatch, But I have we have found some workarounds by using Corel which is also included with MBX. I am hoping Janome with continue to support MBX for those of us that have been using it since it was introduced in the 90s.

I agree. How can we ban together to make them fix it? Class action  or all of use file a complaint with some consumer organization. There must be something we can do. These are very expensive machines. If we can come together as a group I am willing to make calls or do what we need to do. I think I can start with Janome. Does anyone have a direct number? Also anyone having this problem please email me at jgemma1948@.... I want to keep them separate from all the messages on the site so I can look further into some course of action. Thank you and let’s do this!

I have the 12000 and I use aurifil to piece and I use Floria I for embroidery though I have not done embroidery in quite a while.

I had this problem too.  I was back and forth to the dealer, then someone in this group said to really check to see that my machine was level.  It wasn't.  With trial and error, my machine is sewing beautifully now.

(201) 825-3200 Janome main number.  From there you can reach department you are looking for,

Re: Hatch

I received the offer from Hatch and was also under impression MBX would no longer be updated.  Contacted my dealer of the offer and they were unaware and got right on it.  I am under impression Janome will regularly  be updating MBX. Therefore I opted for the upgrade because of the features I had/liked in the MBX.

It is a matter of preference!

I, as well, am having trouble with the sensor issue and the “check to see if you have the correct foot on” message – not sure that is exactly what it says.  Perhaps if we contact Janome – as a group – we could get a better outcome.  Like the rest, I feel I have invested a LOT of money and just want the machine to work – don’t think that is asking too much.  If anyone gets a number or

I feel your pain I have been going through this for five years now and yet to have a fix on this I have had it in the shop so many times and each time the sensor is checked the plate is checked it’s been cleaned there’s no Lint anyway the straight foot has been put in there nothing seems to be fixing this problem I think it is a Janome sensor problem and they’re not doing much to satisfy the fixes on this so I too have paid a lot of money for this machine and agree with you that you just can’t get rid of the machine and get a new one because it cost too much I think Janome should stand behind this problem and fix our machines for us. Has anyone called Janome directly?
