I also screwed the screws into the back of the machine till they are secure but not tight and then I hang the thread stand on them. I did the same thing with my 9900 .... hmm.... maybe it is a Canadian thing .... See a hole .... screw something into it and hang something on it .....

Gail,

The thread stand for the 12000/15000 is a screw on type, however, it is made in such a away that you can hang it on the handle and just not bother to screw it on. What I do with mine is open the screws and hang mine on to the screws and sometimes I just don’t bother to tighten those screws, so it still comes off easily, IF I want to take it off to go to a class. My sewing tech almost had “heart failure” when he saw what I was doing as he thought I’d “lose a screw” - we both know that I was short that “screw” already.

Cheryl,
I have ordered the stand and I want to hang it on the handle.  Could you send a picture of how you do this?

Thanks everyone. I just transferred the activation from my desktop to my laptop. I have not heard back from Janome and probably won't for a while. At least this way I get to use the program. :-)

I use it on my 15000!

Re: Thread stand

I have one that looks identical. Had it for my 11,000 and now have it attached to my 500e. I use it a lot. Mostly when using thread cones. Maybe it doesn’t fit as well for the15,000???

Jim, One more time hats off to you. I have used my iPad (thoroughly) for a long time. I have tried and used a couple of file utility apps. This documents app somehow got by me, well NO MORE it is simply a single solution for a handful of apps I have been using. I love this app it helps my productivity from my iPad in an amazing way. Thank you again for your great suggestions and lessons.

I have a 15000 and use my Martha Pullen thread stand and turn it so it is vertical to my machine on the right side.  A little awkward but it works for me, didn’t want to buy a new one.

I used to use the clothsetter for the 350e and for the 11000se. I discovered that the arm that holds the crosshairs is not accurate because it moves. I agree about chasing the hoop so what I started using the shelf liner that is non-skid. I place the hoop on the shelf liner and it does not slide around.

Re: Thread stand

Pat

Gail,

I have that stand (it’s here, barely used, and I have its box),and would love to sell it.  In looking at the picture of the back of the box, the only part I do not have is small the thread guide.  Otherwise, the box contents are complete.  If I recall, I did one embroidery project with it.
I also have the Circular Sewing Attachment for the 15000, and would love to sell it, too.  It has never been used.  I did attached it to my 15000 once, so it is the correct one for the 15000, but I never used it.
Grand plans for both, zero follow through on my part. 😩.
The photo shows the back of the spool stand box.  Both are real Janome items.
If you (or anyone else)  have an interest in acquiring, I can be reached via email at Pibby357@....
BTW, I am in Reno, NV.

Foot Tread Cutter on 15000

Gail

I brought my 15000 in for service and one of the problems I mentioned was that the foot pedal thread cutter stopped working.  I got a call saying I needed a new foot cutter module and it was ordered and installed.  I picked up the machine today and when I set it up, I still get the error message on the screen saying "Foot Pedal Thread Cutter Can't be Used" and it doesn't work..  I have called the service people, but it's almost a 2 hour drive each way and they are closed all next week.  Does anyone have any suggestions or have you seen this before?

I may just take the cutter off the foot pedal, but I just paid for it.

Hi Linda, I did call and they gave me a tech number. Left a message. Jim suggested moving the desktop one to my laptop. I'm going to do that while I wait to hear back from Janome. That dongle was so easy to use. Thank you.

Virginia, I'm afraid to even put my original cd in. I'm a big chicken. LOL

The transfer won't work on the laptop because it crashed and burned  so I can't even try a repair, but Jim suggested moving the desktop one to my laptop. I'm going to do that while I wait to hear back from Janome. Thank you.

Re: MBX activation code

Thanks. I might just do that. Look how smart you are!!! LOL  I never thought of that.

I placed a call to Janome tech support and had to leave a message so hopefully they will get back to me someday. I'll try the transfer Fingers crossed!

I don't understand why they have to be so far behind the times. Keeping track of installations online during login is great.

I think I just tossed my serial port dongle from Digitizer V1
