Re: question about acufil and latest horizon link

Patricia Ward

Thank you, Faviola. I finally realized that in a moment of clarity when I was not tired....    For some reason I never took the Acufil off my desktop so that is why I was confused.  After I opened Horizon Link Suite, I saw it there and smacked my forehead and said,  DUH...

Thanks again.    Have a good day!

Hi Jim--  I am not able to see thumbnails of my designs when I'm using V5--I just see a blue rectangle.  I've read the online manual and followed all the directions to make the designs appear but it doesn't work.  I know you are not a PC fan, but would you have any suggestions to help me correct the problem?  I've googled it and looked on the Janome site but nothing I do works.  I deleted Embird from my computer because I read that could cause a conflict.  My computer is Windows 10--and the design pics used to show up but I'm sure it was after some Windows update that the problem started,,,,,,no idea which one, though.  Thanks so much for all you do for the group.

Ann

Re: the wreath pattern? Files section is where?

To clarify - the OPTIONAL large version cannot be done on the 11000, but the small project CAN be done on the 11000. It requires a hoop that is at least 6" x 6".

The large block requires the SQ23 hoop, which is only on the 12000, 14000, & 15000.

What a beautiful wreath!!
I really appreciate the time and effort that goes into producing the design,
because I have no clue how to even get started.

Can this be used on my 11000??
Thanks for all you do for us.

question about acufil and latest horizon link

Patricia Ward

Jim,
I am preparing for a new computer in about a week and am trying to get everything ready to load..

Where did I get the acufil program? I can't find a cd for it...

How will I get the link update for Horizon Suite that we got when the machine was upgraded to quiltmaker?

Sorry to bother you with such silly questions; just having a senior moment...

Thank you!!!!
Pat

For those having trouble downloading, there is nothing we can do. The file is hosted on Groups.io, in the Files section. If the link does not work it is either due to the browser you are using, anti-virus blocking, your Internet provider, or something we cannot control or fix. The file is large, and if you are on a satellite connection it is very likely you'll have trouble due to bandwidth restrictions.

Once again, here is the link to the file: Quilted Wreath.zip

Hi Jim,
I assumed I'd simply dowload from where I see 'wreath.....zip' but now I'm having trouble locating that message!  Duh!  I'll keep looking but I appreciate reading that it cannot be downloaded from my iPad.
Thank you, Sandie Williamson

Jim and Diane,

Thank you for sharing the beautiful quilted wreath pattern with instructions. Log cabin is one of my favorite blocks to make and this is such a fun way to use it. I tend to collect Christmas fabric so I look forward to raiding the stash for a new Christmas quilted table topper.

Merry Christmas to you both and all of the list members!
Good health and much happiness in the New Year!

I found that I couldn’t do it on the IPad. Had to use my laptop. What are you using?

I concur with Julia, I rarely use the Janome apps, but do use the 15000 app when needed.  My preference is using my desktop computer.  Unfortunately I find the apps lacking and prefer using MBX to do most features.  Have been wanting to try the AcuSetter, but am old school still using the clothsetter.  Not a very good sketch artist for the AcuStitch, but would like more info on its use.   Also, don't like saving files/designs on ipad without being able to copy and/or delete.  Perhaps I need more instruction on that aspect.  Cloud and dropbox are useful, but don't feel comfortable using...again old school and have slow and limited internet services (satellite).  I have an older Ipad Air which has reached its capacity and hope to purchase a new one in the near future.

Computer screen is my preference to view details when working with files. Just my preference.

As to what version IPad I have it is Gen 4 so the 11 will not update on my iPad
per Apple. My version will stay at 10 with the latest update for my version.
I want the IPad Pro with the larger screen but that is low on the priority list since I upgraded from the MC12000 to the
newly released QuiltMaker MC15000 this year.

It’s in the message at the beginning of this thread. Here it is again: https://groups.io/g/onlinesewing-janome/files/Quilted%20Wreath.zip

It’s also in the Files section.
