Pru,
No, I use AcuSetter many times recently and had no problems. As a matter of fact, I was amazed at how quickly it worked and watched it closely to make sure it did work as it seemed to respond so quickly.  However, maybe it's a temperature issue too as where I live, there's no danger of the machine overheating (freezing, maybe)!

Well I had finally managed to get a huge towel correctly aligned in the hoop & it was wizzing along at 800 spm. I was sitting in the living room when AcuMonitor said “Lock!” So I went to investigate - the thread was all fine but it said to Power On again so I turned it off.

It was then that I remembered I had the same mystery “Lock” message a couple of times about a year ago. And then I further remembered that it had also been on extremely hot summer days - the outside temperature at the time of the Lock was 42.5 Celsius (108.5 F)!!! So after a good 45 minute break I turned it back on & I slowed the speed down to 600 spm plus I very generously opened the sewing room door so it could share in the air conditioning, lol! I had no further problems.

The easiest way is to print them into a PDF first, then copy the PDF files to your flash drive. There are lots of free "Print to PDF" programs out there. My favorite is this one:

I am trying to find a way to put all the HLS files on a flash drive and have them printed out.  When I open them, I can see hoe to print them, but how can I get them on a flash drive?

Thanks for all the responses to my question about fusible fleece.  I’m going to get a small package of each (soft and stable and bosal, and see what works best.  I’m tired of floppy purses, but don’t want them stiff as a board!

How odd! Today Horizon Link picks up my machine straight away and I am able to transfer designs.

No explanation!!

I transfer wirelessly from my Win10 PC.  I have my sewing machine settings turned to WiFi on and use the find feature just as you did within HL.  Sometimes it takes a couple of tries.

Thanks everyone for trying to help me.

I suppose I’ll just have to be patient and keep trying.

Thanks again.

Thankyou sooooo much. What a brilliant, informative reply.

I was being told I could only transfer from an Ipad, so got a bit confused. I was sure I’d been told, on day one, that I could use a PC.

I am so grateful to you. You’ve explained things so clearly.

I shall just have to keep trying.

Thanks again.

Please don’t let all this talk about a new digitizer start a panic! Your MBX will continue to work as long as you have a computer capable of running it.

I have MBX (I guess the first version that came out) and love it.  I got it free with my 12000.  It works fine with Windows 10.  I've been reading all these posts about digitizing software.  Is my MBX going to stop working?  I sure hope not.

I have purchased Fusible Fleece from Nancys Notions online.  It looks like quarter inch thick fleece, but when it is ironed on it crushes down to a fairly stiff and crisp interfacing.  I do use it for purses.  Annie's Soft and Stable gives roundness to all folded areas, after all it is soft foam.  Each of these two products have different but useful areas in purse making.

My S9 is 6 months old. I bought a win 10 laptop at same time although I am a Mac person. I’ve been transferring over WiFi from the laptop to the sewing machine since day 1. The S9 did not come with anything named Horizon link, instead, it came with a CD called Acutools S which consists of 4 items: Embroidery Editor, Stitch Composer, Screensaver tool, and the USB driver fir the sewing machine. No place does anything say Horizon Link but my dealer said that’s what that CD is. I have ban transferring to machine via WiFi with where tools although I discovered the 5 iPad apps do the same thing. iPad is a little easier for me than opening up the laptop so I usually do that instead.

Yes you can. But each time you must verify your machine is connected to your WiFi. Sometimes it forgets when turned on. Next you must go to the software on your pc and in the softwares settings choose WiFi instead of the other choices. Third, on my S9 I need to be at the screen for editing an embroidery design. After all this it flies over there in a heartbeat.

I have a desktop PC running Windows and I have no problems connecting the wifi from a distance of two floors in my house.  My PC is on the second floor and the 15K is in the basement.

There already is a download on Janome’s global site for Artistic Digitizer (http://www.janome.co.jp/e/e_downloads/artistic_installation_user_guide.html) – of course you will need an activation code.

Hello everybody,

I like to react ..it will be a read, but I like to explain myself and my choice for my preferred embroidery-software.

Long ago I started with a Pfaff 7570 and the PC design software.. Then I made the leap to the Janome MC 11000 with the Customizer software, which I didn't like very well. Someone told me about Embird so I went for Embird, nice on the wallet BTW.

In the meantime I learned about the cutwork software from Bernina, which someone used on het MC 11000. Very very Interesting!!!

Then I upgraded to the MC 12000, which I still have, with the Digitizer JR V3 software. Which I didn't like as well, so I used Embird instead and no Digitizer MBX for me, my wallet didn't like the €1500 prize anyway. Sorry I forget to tell you, I live in The Nederlands.

As I was also working with rhinestones and fabric paint, I found my way to the Silhouette Portrait (in the meantime upgraded to a Cameo, can't get my hands on the Artistic Egde, as it's USA only), for cutting my rhinestone and paint templates and many other things.

For my ideal world I was wondering if there was an embroidery software package for combining this in one design and I can send the design to the MC 12000 and the Cameo in one go...

After a long search on internet I found Artistic Suite V6, and it was Janome as well. And affordable for my wallet. Hooray I thought. Well it turned it was only Janome USA, and no way my Dutch dealer could get his hands on it.. After 8 months I found a private seller who was willing to sell and send it to me.. Double hooray..

With the manual, lessons on Internet and later on Artistic workshops by Trevor Conqergood, ( Triple hooray)I found my way to digitize and send my design to the MC 12000 and the Cameo in one go. Eureka... O, and I can do those cutwork designs as well. Long before Janome Digitizer came with it.

Even my Embird is on the shelf, and their update is only $32.

For general information, Artistic Suite is Creative DRAWings based. They updated their software to be Windows and Mac compatible and made changes to the interface of the software. Looking at the videos on the Janome global site, it's looking the same and the videos are done by Trevor again. So maybe new workshops by Trevor again for the new Artistic Digitizer, at least I hope so..

So for me it will be Artistic software....

So it all comes down to one question..what do you want from your embroidery software. If you like your Digitizer MBX you will probably go for Hatch, I read that even an Embird teacher is thinking about Hatch instead of Embird..

I will stay or should I say will go for Artistic Digitizer.. I hope there will be a downloadable  upgrade version available so I can get my hands on it here in The Netherlands.

Everybody good luck with the embroidery software hunt..

Greetings, Debby from Haarlem, the Netherlands..
