Thanks Ceil, I right clicked start and typed in Disk Cleanup in “Search”  to find it, rather than looking in File Explorer.  I’m using it now.  Hope it helps.  Yes, I did the other fix and I no longer get the “not responding” on HL.  That’s great!

I had an issue with the stippling tool and emailed Trevor with no response. Thankfully I was able to figure it out. Sounds like something is amiss at Sunset stitches.

The fact that so many never received the DVD is troubling. Those classes were not exactly cheap. Didn't we pay extra for the DVD? I think I will send a daily email until I get an answer and a DVD.

Have a sew-sew day,

Opening the group to all things Janome-related means you get all sorts of topics, including those related to digitizers and digitizing. You are welcome to post questions or observations on anything that relates to Janome machines, but you must also expect that others may post things that are of no interest to you. There are no restrictions on topics, as long as they relate to Janome. I’m sorry that wasn’t made clear. Feel free to ask your question about fusible fleece. Just make sure the subject reflects the topic. By having accurate topic headings everyone is free to read only those posts that interest them.

I also have the Re18 and love it for my 12k.  It has the magnets for the sides.  Need to update machine to recognize the Re18 when you get it.

A little confused

Sue Raabe <susies.stitches@...>

I have read all the posts about the transition to this group, but I still don't completely understand it’s premise.  Is it still primarily for support for Janome machines?  When it was still on Yahoo, I seem to remember reading that questions related to quilting were also acceptable.  I thought I read in one of the early digests that it is now a group for digitizers. Did I misunderstand?  Since I’m not a digitizer, if that’s the focus of this group, I’ll remove my name.  I’m not complaining; just makes no sense reading messages about a topic that doesn’t pertain to me!  I have a question about fusible fleece that I will try to find an answer to on a quilting group, unless it’s OK to ask it here.  I tried looking it up online first, and couldn’t find the answer.  If the group membership is now for digitizers and digitizer wannabes, I will unsubscribe, grateful for all the information and support I have received over the last several years.  There is no criticism implied, I’m just trying to find out if this group still applies to me!  Sue Raabe Susie’s.stitches@...

Re: not all designs are showing up on computer

We're here to help, but can you give us a little more information? Are you trying to send designs to your 12000 by USB cable or in a USB flash drive? What's happening on the machine? Error messages or ? Remember we can't see your machine, so you need to give us as much information as you can. Thanks!

Re: 5x7 HOOP for the 12K

The origin of the original 5 x 7 hoop was the Memory Craft 10000. Hoop B on that machine measured 140mm x 200mm (5.5" x 7.9"). Because this was much larger than Janome's previous hoops, MANY designs were created to fit it. When the Memory Craft 11000 came out it had bigger hoops, but lacked a 5 x 7 hoop. After prolonged screaming by customers and dealers, hoop RE was released for the 11000. It was also 140mm x 200mm. To the consternation and irritation of all concerned, the Memory Craft 12000 was released, again WITHOUT a 5 x 7 hoop. It didn't happen until well after the release of the 15000, at which time we got hoop RE-18. It's still 5 x 7 BUT the actual measurement is 140mm x 180mm (5.5" x 7.0"). Technically it's still 5 x 7, but it's almost an inch shorter than previous incarnations of the 5 x 7 hoop. I cannot imagine any logical reason, other than something got lost in translation and the 7" height was taken literally without regard to previous history. As a result, not all 5 x 7 designs that fit the previous hoops will fit in RE-18, which is still 5 x 7 more or less.

I am looking for the 100 x 100.  Was told does not exist a yet.

Life's biggest decision is what you do with Jesus.

I thought the original poster was looking for a hoop called "FH 100 x 100".  Has anyone heard of this hoop?  Again, the Canadian dealer would not help me as I'm not in Canada.

Re: Viewing Designs

I view designs in a few different ways. My favorite is unfortunately no longer available. It's an old program that came with my Babylock embroidery machine called Designers Gallery. It's a great little catalog and viewing library, and can even convert formats, add basting lines and print templates. It works with almost all formats, and it's too bad they discontinued it.
I use Digitizer MBX version 5 and it has a very nice Manage Designs portion that I like quite a lot except that I have to start the program to get in and it's sometimes a little slow.
Then last and easiest is just to use the Windows Files Exporer! When you open the folder the designs are in and if you select the View tab and set it to Thumbnails most designs will show up as images. You'll have a choice of Small, Medium, Large or Extra Large Icons. Another setting I've changed is to always open JEF designs in Horizon Link. That may also enable the Thumbnails to work best.

The 5x7 hoop that we had for the 11K was really a 5.51 x 7.87 and the new RE18 hoop for the new machines is 5.51 x 7.  Yes, your 5x7 designs fit in the new re-designed hoop, but, it's a bit smaller than the one we had for the 11K.  Dottie in Texas

Well I’m glad to know that I’m not the only one. I’m sure that Trevor will get it done this month, he wouldn’t let it go for more than a year, that’s just not good business.

Hi
I just emailed about the dvds and another issue and was told by Wendy she would check with him to see if he would be mailing 2016 & 2017 together !
I'm hoping to receive them soon!!
I may be wrong but I believe this will be the end of his lessons for Janome software
As I was asked to stop my auto payments -

I don't think Janome will be updating or upgrading mbx anymore
Since Hatch is out

Just my thoughts on this!
