Re: Janome 9000 Design
marjackpot@yahoo.com
I started with the 8000 and then the 9000. When I got my 10001 a disk came with it that had all the designs from the last 2 machines in JEF. I put them on a PC and still have them. I would be very happy to share them with you. Also you can change the format on Wilcolm's True Sizer.
I loved my 9000 and am sorry to this day that I sold it. Marge in Fl.

HI Jim,
Thanks for getting back to me. Already checked out the video. Seems like that is what I am doing. Got a call into Janome tech support. Hopefully they will get back to me Monday. I used this feature with previous MBX programs for quilting around quilt block designs. Great replacement for free motion stippling. Especially when one is not adept with FMS. I haven't used this feature of MBX 5, so I can't offer much help. What I would suggest is that you check out this video from Trevor Conquergood, who is the best source of information on all things related to Janome (and other) digitizing software: https://youtu.be/oRRDFF8yxlc

Is there a way to get the design to your computer? If so, then Embrilliance might work…

Re: Embroiderabl stuffed animals
J Fraker
Why don't you just embroider his name on a piece of fabric and hand applique it on the stuffed animal? I'm sure no one is going to complain about that.

Sent: Thursday, November 23, 2017 10:38 PM Subject: [janome12000] Embroiderabl stuffed animals Does anyone know if the stuffed animals that are made to embroider are available as licensed products? I'd like to embroider on Elmo for my grandson, but have no idea if such a thing is available. A few years ago, I kept receiving emails from people who had ordered licensed sports team logo designs from someone with a very similar business name. Since she had no contact information, people would call me instead! I know very little about the legalities except that digitizers need to purchase a licensed logo to sell it as a design. All I'm hoping to do is embroider his name on an unstuffed, legally purchased Elmo! By asking here, I'm hoping to avoid endless hours of searching for something that doesn't exist. If I hadn't received an ad for the 'regular' ones, I probably never would have thought of it. It was an impulse idea, and if such a product doesn't exist, at some point, maybe I can find an Elmo design to embroider, or maybe not! Re: Stabilizer for embroidery
Norma Carson <norma7750@...>
I would go with 2 layers of medium weight cutaway layered crisscrossed. they say 1 layer for every 10,000 stitches but if you are using kona cotton (and not a stretch fabric) you should be OK with 2 layers medium weight....good luck and keep us posted. Norma Lodi, CA

Re: Bobbin winder
Anne Parker
It happened to me too quite a while back and now I always check that I have it threaded correctly and the thread is at the right angle before I start winding. I ended up using a small pair of sissors and my overlocker tweezers to get every last bit of thread out from under the cutter. Didn't know at the time you could actually take the cutter off, though I expect I wouldn't have had enough hand pressure to do it. Janome 9000 Design
Cynthia Dickerson
I purchased the Janome 15000 Quilt Maker and, unfortunately, I am going to have to sell my Janome 9000, which is practically like new. There is one design that I am partial to and it is the Christmas Wreath (#1) on card number 110. Does anyone have that design in Jef format or does anyone know how I can transfer that design to jef. Seems like there is no software available to do that with anymore. I am sentimental and when I bought my first Janome, the store had this design sewed out by the machine. I took one look at it and fell in love. This was the beginning of my passion for the Janome line of products and I love them all. I just can't sell it without keeping that one design!! I wish Janome would give us all the 9000 designs on a cd like they did for the 8000 machine for Christmas!!! Any help would be so appreciated!!

Re: Stabilizer for embroidery
vesta@...
I have a similar question....working on a Anitagoodesign block..... 9x11" so have to use the GR hoop. Design has more than 100,000 stitches. Thinking of trying 2 layers of No Show Fusible or ordering some of Floriani's embroidery batting that says it supports high count design. Would plan to leave the no show mesh in. I think either would work.....but will be interested to hear how others answer your question.

MBX 5 Ambience Quilting
Carolyn Gazerro
Hi Jim, I am attempting to use the Ambience Quilting tool on a .jef file. When I try to use any of the options the tool generates the pattern over the whole area which includes the design. I select the whole design before using the tool and the measurements are shown in the tool box. I have also used the repair program feature with no results. Probably something simple but I am at a loss. Any suggestions greatly appreciated! Hope you had a great Turkey Day! Carolyn

Re: Babylock Destiny II vs. Janome 15000
Barb, I sent a message earlier, but I don't see it posted. Maybe it's due to the outage. Thanks for the advice. I tried pushing up in the back of the needle bar prior to turning my 15000 on and it seems to have corrected the issue. After receiving it back from the dealer she seems to be running ok for now. I will be sewing on it in the next few days and I will let everyone know if I still have issues.

Stabilizer for embroidery
Carole OMara
I have the Janome 12000 and have only done small embroider projects. I have a design that is 37000+ stitches, 7.8 x 7.8 size. I will use the SQ23 hoop and embroider on Kona cotton. The design will be made into a throw pillow. Which stabilizer should I use to support all the stitches? Thanks for any advice. Carole

Re: Upgrade and WiFi issues
Gail
Everything works except the 15000. The WiFi connects on both the machine and the iPad, but none of the WiFi functions work. I think I'll try Janome support before I contact my dealer. Will be helpful to hear what they say, Gail

Thanks so much Barb. I tried this prior to starting up the machine and it seems to have alleviated this issue. So far no other issues. I'm sewing with it the next few days so we'll see. It's so good to have it back.

Re: Babylock Destiny II vs. Janome 15000
Sue Raabe <susies.stitches@...>
I had the Babylock Elissimo before my 12000, and now the 15000. It was more user friendly than Viking and Pfaff, but not as trouble free. I don't know if they changed the plate screw locations, but one of them couldn't be accessed with a screw driver; I had to use a dime! I do miss the camera, but much prefer my Janome. Babylock may have made improvements since then, but I'm still a die hard Janome fan. For some reason, all of a sudden, I've had to switch thread brands for the needle threader to work, but it's not worth taking it just for that. If I can't get it to work with the Isacord, I'll thread it by hand, since I only have a few spools of the new brand. Janomes are very tolerant, and usually all I have to do is rethread to solve any stitching problems.

Thank you for responding. Will try that. We tried to lift the disc off but it felt like the edges were going to break ....maybe didn’t have my thumbs on the shaft...so will try it like you suggested. Thanks again

Re: Upgrade and WiFi issues
Vikki Youngmeyer
I would check that your other electronics that use your internet connection still work. I had issues with my internet connection – sometimes it would work, sometimes it wouldn’t but it was for all devices hooked to it. There was a “switching” problem at a central location which took 3 trips for the Windstream techies to figure out and finally correct! Vikki Houston, TX

I have always used WiFi to transfer designs to my machine and would also use AcuMonitor on my iPad if I left the room.
When I got my machine back after the upgrade, Horizon Link Suite could find my machine but would not send designs. I thought it was because I hadn't updated Horizon Link Suite yet. The AcuMonitor was also not working. Again, it could find my machine but would not display the embroidery.
I updated Horizon LS today and I'm getting the same results. I went into WiFi settings and reentered the network info and changed the name of my machine. Same results, can find the machine, but cannot sent. Says Connection Issues or something like that. I know it's seeing the machine because it has the name change,
Any suggestions? Gail in FL
There is no reason why your dealer would have had to do anything with the network settings. I would suggest asking to have the V3 update installed again. It sounds like something is incomplete or incorrect in the installed V3 software.
