I have the quilting binder set and it will sew on the front and back and you don't have to prefold the binding fabric. The only part you have to hand stitch is a part of the corner. Which really is not much at all cause it is pretty much already held down by the sewing machine.

If it is to be on display and not used, then I usually will stitch it to the front, turn and hand stitch it in the back.
