I had this problem in the beginning. It was not the usb, it was the fact the machine opened too small a hoop and the design was bigger than the hoop the machine automatically opened so now I select the biggest hoop first, then open the design from the  usb and
go down to the size hoop that is the smallest size the design will fit on. Is this understandable?
