Thank you for your responses. I took your advice and called my dealer. I am three hours away from her now but she was so helpful. (More than the local dealer)  She knew right away what had happened. I am mailing the foot to her (along with the broken spring) and she is sending me a replacement. I am so grateful for your responses. I can still use my machine to finish the diaper bag I was working on. Yeah.
