Call for Papers: Artificial Life journal special issue on Open-Endedness
We are publishing a special issue of the Artificial Life journal to collect outstanding current contributions in the area of Open-Endedness. With the special issue, we hope to create a landmark reference. We expect more submissions than we have space for; for this special issue, articles with great general interest and relevance to the field will be ranked more highly than very specific, narrow results.
The deadline for submission is October 1, 2018.
Submissions should be sent directly to the Artificial Life journal:

with the special designation: “for the Open-Endedness special issue”.
Submissions should be a single pdf file with all text, figures, and references.
We expect article size to be 10-15 journal pages. We will aim to have a speedy review process, and to have final publishable copy of the accepted articles by December 1, 2018. If your article is accepted, you will be notified of guidelines for the final publishable copy, figures, etc. We expect to have ~250 journal pages total dedicated to our special issue.
