Re: SDR Micron - 14-bit Direct Digital Conversion Receiver with USB connection
Hello,
it looks very promising. Soldering small smd components is not a problem, I have a microscope.
Now I have two SDR-Micron versions, one with ADS9629 and R820 BPF board and the other with ADS6145

Hello, Radek
The R820 board was rejected form project.
I just received PCB from China and started to assembly new VHF board. Very small components, need to use a microscope.

Re: SDR Micron - 14-bit Direct Digital Conversion Receiver with USB connection
Hello David,
any news regarding 50 MHz - 6 GHz extension board for SDR-Micron?
I noticed that the R820 extension board project was abandoned on Github.
thank you for answer

You can save more power using 1.8V DC/DC converter for ADC supply.

Yes, I am also worried about DC / DC interference, so I only use it on the 1.2V power supply of the FPGA. At present it looks like the frequency spectrum is clean

Re: SDR Micron - 14-bit Direct Digital Conversion Receiver with USB connection
Nice job !
The power consumption is not too small, probably that is bad idea to use DC/DC converter here, it can become an interference source.

I redesign the pcb use ipex and RF cable to connect Micron and Tuner board. The 1.2V power rail to FPGA is changed to DC/DC supplied
This the power i mensured from usb.
My ADC chip is AD9649-80

Re: SDR Micron - 14-bit Direct Digital Conversion Receiver with USB connection
For the R820T2 tuning board, I did a simple reception test.
The overall effect is close to my AIRSPY R2.
The reception performance is good. I did notice the problem that the noise increased at

Re: SDR Micron - 14-bit Direct Digital Conversion Receiver with USB connection
In fact, because Micron's bandwidth is relatively low, even if the frequency is extended to 6Ghz, which is the same as hackrf one, the actual application will be poor. As for reception, less than 1Ghz

Re: SDR Micron - 14-bit Direct Digital Conversion Receiver with USB connection
R820T2 is used on airspy, the performance is ok, but the heat is very large,
I don't know what problems you have during the test. In addition,
you can use the msi001 tuning chip, which is used in

I noticed the photo of the R820T filter pcb board posted. The chip of R820T2 seems to be mirrored. Is the board of R820T2 ready?

Hi David,
Would you consider a new revision in the future with the help of volunteers assigned to tasks such as documentation (schematics, howto, guidelines), bring-up, boot-loading, Verilog

Hi David,
My Micron using ADS6143.

I don't know why.....?
