Re: Ody-SDR with ExpertSDR2?

David Fainitski

Hello.

No, ExpertSDR2 is fully source-closed programm.

At this time you can run ExpertSDR1 trough OdysseyIQmaster, only RX mode.

Ody-SDR with ExpertSDR2?

Sigi / DH1KLM

Is it possible to operate Ody-SDR with ExpertSDR2 Software instead of PowerSDR?

Hello.
This PA will have a passive SWR protect.
One of shortcomings this construction - very noisely little fans.

I have plane  rework this to one big fan, with other heatsink.

I hope , in the near future I will present a 15 Watt driver board for using with the big AMP.

Thanks for the update, sounds great considering size and power.
Will you have some SWR protection too?

It looks like the should be pictures in the email, but they are not showing up.

Odyssey and OpenHPSDR v3.3.7

leskep@...

Just uploaded a picture of my Odyssey running on OpenHPSDR with two RX going - all working well - also have had it running with cuSDR64 and ZS1 software with no problems

Must say I am impressed with this transceiver - no TX yet - still waiting for some more cables and a Plantronics Gamecom 380 headset

I currently also have an Elad FDM DUO and have also had in past a Flex3k and also an Anan-100D

Lots of fun with the Odyssey in the future I think

Hi David.

Just installed pihpsdr (John Melton g0orx/n6lyt) on pi3,works great.I will now see if I can get ghpsdr to work on desktop.
I got cudasdr to work on peppermint 32bit,but no luck with cuSDR64, on Pinguy it stops running,on mint 17.1 mint 17.3,
and peppermint 64 runs ok, but no sound, no tuning. Ubuntu 16.04 unable to compile with qtcreator.

Re: [ody-sdr.yahoo.com] Questions on Odyssey [1 Attachment]

Les Keppie <leskep@...>

Hi Roger
You have already seen that I now have it working - problem was that I was not setting the IP correctly in the computer - I was not saving it correctly
Once I figured out that and then just let PSDR search on its end all worked - that was the recommendation from David
Now just waiting for cables to hook it all up to my antenna system

David didnt have that photo up in the photo folder in this forum so I put it up there as well - I had earlier downloaded from his site

Les

Hi Les,

You don't want to have Alex enabled. See attached.
Also, in the Diversity menu you want to make sure diversity is disabled.

You set the LAN address to 192.168.2.100 not in the PSDR software but
for your computer, usually under adapter properties in Network and
Sharing Center.

Hope that helps!

Re: cusdr64

Hmmm...
I don't know why It works only 3 seconds...
Do you compile this programm to Linux by himself or used  prepared files ?

In CuSDR sound only through Odyssey's phone connector, no owner sound system.

Re: cusdr64

David Turner

Rolin

Yes panadaptor and waterfall, plus wideband display ok. searches and finds Odyssey IP address ok,may be no sound output.

Thanks for the info (and for Odyssey)!  I am very much enjoying Odyssey, it sounds great!  I only need 1 receiver so the receiver restriction is not at all a problem.

Thanks again!

Hello Rodger

Please use now only static IP connection 192.168.2.xxx (except 160-161)
The next firmware will be able to set any IP adress through Ody Key Master programm.

Odyssey has the implemented openHPSDR protocol with  a little restriction - only 1 or 2 receivers simultaneously.

Odyssey also has owner protocol, much easier, Hiqsdr based.
I will make a diskription at soon.

Hello, Les

Mic connector is simple stereo, but using only first contact.
You can use a simple computer's headset, headphone + microphone.

The Connection active speakers to the phone's connector is a bad idea.
Use these connectors for connection headset and use your simple computer's speakers for loudsound.

Re: [ody-sdr.yahoo.com] Re: Setting up Odyssey [1 Attachment]

Hi David

Some questions regarding hooking up a mic to Ody

Is mic socket mono or stereo?

What would be the best type of mic to use with it - what are you using?

I would assume that a set of powered computer speakers will work ok from the phones socket

Hello, Les

You need to set Ethernet connecttion to static IP 192.168.2.100 look the pic
In PowerSDR you need set Odyssey's IP 192.168.2.160 or don't need set anything. PowerSDR can search Odyssey automatic.
