headed by Ja 1250 and dead J 1236 banked(assisted) by Da 1497 as
inconspicuous as possible - in the top shot I think Da 1500 had gone over in
a washout the week before. These are prints that were scanned to be posted
in due course (which are quite a bit sharper than my photos). Apparently
George Emerson is in the bottom photo - I was a mere schoolboy at the time
and hardly knew anyone on the train.
