Yes I recall hearing in fact seeing a shot on the Yahoo group taken about 1970 and the yard stayed pretty well intact for quite a while - last time I went though in a train I blinked and missed seeing the site - talk of sidings here etc for the dairy factory but nothing eventuated ☹

I was at Studholme station in May 1967, and I noticed all the Waimate Branch track had already been lifted as line had closed in April 1966.

Thursday's photo is a view from the Waimate Branch looking east to Studholme taken on 19-4-1966 after I travelled from Timaru to Waimate on NZRRS coach.
I then walked along the track without a high-viz vest to Studholme to catch the express back to Timaru. Wish I had taken more photos now.
