Issue reported by spanish user: NVDA reports unknown for menus and Windows
Also for @Reef and @Mick, in case this could be related to NVDA's
installation or updates, or something related with Ofice in
combination with NVDA.
This has been reported on a spanish mailing list. Seems that the same
user had a similar issue time ago after installing Office 2007. This
person has run the tool COM registration fixing without good results.
What's the best way to fix these kind of issues? Maybe restoring the
system? Please, let me know if we should open an issue in case this
could be related to NVDA updates or installation process.
Also, as a reminder, I commented a different problem with Outlook,
also reported by other spanish user. Not sure if these issues have
some kind of relationship.
This was reported on this list at
I suppose that the user has already tried to reproduce the issue with add-ons disabled, right?
I say this because there were a lot of issue reports like this caused by Audio themes in the past (I don't know if this is still happening with this specific add-on, by it might be related).

uninstallation ("desinstalación limpia"), reading different threads
even in "sala de juegos" and so on. The problem was solved when he
uninstalled Office 2007 and now with version 2013 and 16 the issue
came back to his computer. He has performed commands about oleacc
(something that I knew long long time ago from spanish community). And
the problem seems not to be related just to the last version of NVDA.
I'm afraid that this is not related to NVDA itself. Also, I read a
similar problem on a spanish mailing list not specific for NVDA.
The question is how to fix this.
