Editing contents of FSQ buttons QTC, QTH

Several of us use FSQCall at the same time as fldigi.  The net operations are performed in FSQ, and any file transfers are done with fldigi.  IIRC, once fldigi is in FSQ mode it won't recognize an RSID to switch modes.

Yes, the wiki covers a wide range of topics, including some operating hints

Operating Hints

I could add a page, "FSQ Net Operation" with an "Under development" text.  Anyone can edit a wiki page once it is created.  You could then edit the page, perhaps copying an existing document for new net participants.  Are any of your net ops using software other than fldigi for the FSQ net?

Well, the QTH entry is normally set by the user at initial config, and I wouldn't think that it would be different for FSQ, but you never know.

We hold the net on 3598 KHz at 1500z on Thursday mornings, so it is pretty well limited to the state of Missouri.  AFAIK, everyone uses some form of a wire antenna.

As far as a user guide, I may consider it.  Are you referring to the wiki at https://sourceforge.net/p/fldigi/wiki/Home/?

Are you thinking of a specific topic?

Correct.  That works for all modes

Neil,

Good suggestion.  Would it also be desireable to have the QTH entry for FSQ a separate entry control, unique from the station QTH entry?  If not, I could add a replicate QTH control on the FSQ configuration panel.

FSQ was engineered specifically for 80 meters down-under.  The developer, Murray ZL1BPU, is now a silent key and his contributions to our hobby should never go unnoted.
Murray passed away in April 2022.

What band is your net on?  Do all participants use NVIS antennas?  Would you be interested in writing a small user guide for the fldigi wiki?

For anyone searching for information about changing the contents of the QTC and QTH buttons in FSQ, here it is:

QTH button contents are controlled from Configuration Dialog/Misc/Operator-Station - Station QTH: field
QTC button contents are controlled from Configuration Dialog/Modem/FSQ -TX Parameters block - QTC: field

Searching the user manual does not give the info on the QTC button anywhere.

It would be much more intuitive if a right click of the buttons would bring up the configuration page.

We have a net that makes use of the QTC field by the net control station to check traffic status by polling the net participants.
