Dave,

Attached is screen shot of signals.  Most of what I see online show signals as different.

I did have this working about 6 months ago, but have not had time to look at it again until recently.  Some settings have changed, but I have no idea what.

As for "disk that came with Signalink", there was not one, and I have been on many of the websites trying to get info.

Also, I read both ways, that the Signalink is to be set as the default playback and recording device in Sounds -- and that it is NOT to be the default.  Either way I set it, I stilll do not see improvement of signals.

Graphic below.  Still nothing but jibberish.  Also, sound levels are on the green diamond as good (not yellow or red)

Hello John
I have also a ts-430s.
I am very interested in your modification.
Are there pictures of your modification how you have done it.
Or do you have any information which can help me to do the modification.

Kind regards
Ron

Capture a snapshot of the "poor looking PSK31" signals and post it to this forum.

Hi Glen, There was a disk that came with the SignalLink. Have you looked through that for help? Also I wonder if you have reached out to the local Ham Club there in St Pete?

Do you have both codec's showing up in the <FLDIGI Configuration> <Audio> <Devices> and the Port Audio checked off? You also may have to set up your windows sound card <Playback> and <Recording> .

Make sure the MODE switch is set correctly.  On 40 and 80 meters, it should be set to REV (Reverse = USB).

I had a setup using easy digi.  I had a similar issue.   I had my volume way too loud.   If I could hear the signal in the speaker then the signal was usually too strong for the decoder.  Try lowering the volume to nothing then slowly raise it.

Hello,

I have detected an issue using FLRIG. when I start FLRIG and my icom ic-756pro2 vfo mode is AM or FM  (main or sub vfo, no difference) flrig crash at the startup (see attachment). If flrig is started with rig in cw/rtty/usb/lsb/usb-D  modes no problem. If the mode is changed to AM or FM after the startup is complete it works fine. it 's an issue only at the startup.

Re: AndFlmsg comparison; three radios (one with interface) and three android devices 20190929

Ole Helgerson KI7MBR

20191006 update.

I am now thinking that for communicating with AndFlmsg,  audio connection (MT6300_LG) between a radio and Android device is potentially the least error prone as well as being least costly (at least with my radios).  Here's why.

Had a few minutes to further test the BaoFeng UV5X3 with; Easy Digi, the BaoFeng APRS-K2 cable and audio connection. (Note; I checked the two Android units (Nokia phone, Samsung 6' tablet) for sending and receiving with each other by audio connection.  One-hundred percent ok.)

Easy Digi.  The Nokia phone and the Samsung tablet were swapped out with each as signal source and end point.  Re reception, nothing showed up on the attached Android unit (despite the radio LED indicating a signal).  But Easy Digi sent text and forms just fine swapping the  Decided to again test the APRS-K2 cable.

APRS-K2.  VOX worked almost.  Again static bursts like a mic being keyed about every 1 second and no message received.  Keying the mic, produced better, but still mixed results.   Text messages were usually incomplete, missing about the first line of a three line message.  And I started to hear a three-tone sequence (e.g.C-A-D)  at the end of the RSID when sending the Android signal through the radio.  this tone seemed absent when communicating Android to Android,  Forms transmitted ok, though one produced an error message

Phone only.  Text messages and forms letter perfect; both directions with the BaoFeng ht and the Alinco and Nokia and Samsung.

I am suspecting that something unique in the circuitry with the BaoFeng and possibly the Easy Digi is causing the total lack of connection and the partial transmissions or receptions. What it might be exceeds my meager knowledge of things electrical. Because the Baofeng's VOX does not seem to want to work quite right,  it is going back to the factory.  Maybe the next unit will work better.

Hope this is useful.

I will be posting this on QTH.com in a day or two, but thought there might be an interested group member.

All equipment 100% functional and in like-new condition:

Icom 7200
LDG AT-100Pro Autotuner with 7200 control cable.

Pi-3 in Dual Fan Armor Case (extruded aluminum)
5v 3 Amp power supply with on/off switch
120 GB ssd in extruded aluminum enclosure
32 GB SIM (Raspbian boot)
USB keyboard and mouse.
3 foot HDMI cable

The Pi-3 comes fully loaded with all of the latest NBEMS software, compilers, etc.  It boots from the SIM and then the OS runs off of the solid state drive.  You only need supply an hdmi monitor or TV.

I will be asking $875 shipped.  I am not interested in splitting.  Photos are available.

Even better, join and support the effort.

With dismal HF conditions of late...

VHF/UHF might be the only reliable radio links in the affected area.

The aggregator gets dropped in onto a high point (parachute or helicopter.)

These VHF/UHF feeds now get uplinked to the GEO sat, then downlinked to the ops center, hundreds of miles away.

Go-teems with the necessary ex military skills will be needed for this.

These are the operating conditions of THIS proposal.

We really need our own ham band only GEO sat or two.

Then go-teems can uplink and downlink direct.

This proposal brings nothing to the table for actual "Emcomm" operations.  IF you have the means to move content to the aggregator for transmission from the satellite, WHY do you need a satellite at all for "Emcomm"?
