any idea of what else I could try?  Has anybody else had this problem with fldigi and flamp on Mac 10.13.6?  I checked and seems fldigi is actually listening on the 7322 port:

lsof -i -P | grep -i "listen"

MacLogger 474 joelv      0t0  TCP *:5002 (LISTEN)
MacLogger 474 joelv      0t0  TCP *:5002 (LISTEN)

Greetings to All --

I'm seeing something odd with ver 4.1.17 of fldigi.

I'm using this version of fldigi to monitor NAVTEX on 518 kHz (dial freq 516.5 USB), using the SITOR B mode of fldigi (not the NAVTEXT mode of fldigi).  When hearing tones from the receiver and then starting up fldigi, I don't get any print on the screen.  The waterfall looks good (given that it's MF, the FSK signals often look a little "fat") but nothing prints.  My cursor frequency is 1500 Hz when the program opens, and of course fldigi retained the mode it was last using (SITOR B) and the demod AFSK tones are centered on 1500 Hz as shown by the waterfall, but no print.

However, when I click once on the DOWN button for "Adjust Cursor Frequency" (moving it to 1499 Hz), it's like the waterfall halts for maybe 500 ms, then starts again and then I start to get print on the screen.  Of course a 1 Hz error on SITOR B is nothing, so I'm wondering if something gets kickstarted in the code when the down button is clicked.  I didn't try other buttons.  It could be that clicking other buttons on the screen will start the printing process.  I thought I should report this in case others are seeing a similar issue.

I'm on Windows 10 pro, 64 bits, using the USB accessed codec internal to the Yaesu FT-991A.

Refer to the readme.txt for fldigi and flrig for information on specific changes.  fldigi / flrig are being distributed as a matched set.  Both versions are required to exploit the newly added send CW using CAT text strings.  See http://www.w1hkj.com/FldigiHelp/cw_cat_keying.html for details.

The email address still carries over from previously looked up and added entries to the next entry added using Lookup.  See the attached test2.csv file and notice how many times my gmail address shows up.  Since I am aware of this, I watch for it on new entries, but it does take a bit of time to clear incorrect email addresses.

Which external database are you accessing?

Dave,

I have tested flnet 7.3.3.15 using your database, and have some observations:

- Generally, it worked very well, and had no crashes or unexpected closing.  There were a few "quirks" though.

- Using the menu Editor, adding a call sign by clicking on "NEW" is pretty intuitive.  But to save it, one has to click on "NEW" again, at which point it jumps to another entry in the database.  To add it to an active check-in list, one has to scroll to the entry and click on "QUEUE".  Would adding a "SAVE" button be better here, one that didn't jump to another entry when clicked?

The button should have changed to "SAVE" ... programmer error.  Editor should have remained at the newly  added entry.

- Assuming a net situation and a call sign suffix, prefix and area is entered, then the menu Editor is accessed.  If it is added via the "NEW" button (nothing carries over from the check-in list), and saved (via "NEW"), then Queued, there are now two entries on the list with the same call sign.  See the attached log sheet (N1LL) for an example.  Of course, using the F12 and Lookup function would be the solution for this and proper way to do it, but if someone doesn't know . . .

That should not be happening.

- The email address still carries over from previously looked up and added entries to the next entry added using Lookup.  See the attached test2.csv file and notice how many times my gmail address shows up.  Since I am aware of this, I watch for it on new entries, but it does take a bit of time to clear incorrect email addresses.

I have not seen that.  I will force the condition.

- This is not a real problem, just something interesting I noticed.  On the attached test2.csv file, notice the entries I added don't have a single-field call sign in the "CALLSIGN" column.  This info gets added after the session is closed, and the database file is used the next time.  It's not really a problem, but it's good to know, especially if one is going to edit something in a database with recently added lines.  The blank call signs might cause some head scratching.

Blank calls should not be allowed in the db.  Not sure why that happened.

I hope this helps.  It's a pleasure to use flnet, just for the fun of keeping track of check-ins, in my case.

Thanks Mark.  Good workout on the testing.

FLDigi & FLAmp on MacOS 10.13.6 #macos #fldigi

Hello everyone,
Im trying to configure FLDigi with the other applications (flamp, flmsg, etc) on a MacOS 10.13.6.  fldigi start fines and it fireup flmsg fine as well, but for flamp, I cant run it.  either if I run it manually or autostart, I get the error "Start fldigi before flamp!" even when I have fldigi already running or if fldigi autostart it.  Any suggestions what I might be missing?  Any log files I might look or provide to help solve this?

Thanks, DE WE0DX

Thank you Ole and Bill,

Unfortunately I could not determine from that information if the PTT can be activated automatically and the audio routed to/from the built-in radio.

It would be great otherwise as the Android version is modem and is well within the range of versions to run AndFlmsg.

We probably need someone who owns one of these devices to tell us more about it and maybe run some tests.

I noticed the 50% duty cycle in the brochure, but it may be related to the FCC approval, not the hardware.
