which closes the program. This fault only occurs if you attempt
to change fonts from the memory dialog:
DO NOT press the "Font" button. A fix has been created and will be included in a follow up release of flrig 1.3.53. Sorry for the inconvenience. 73, David, W1HKJ

John (vk2eta)
Hello Ole,
No hurry. Ha yes NOCAL, what to set the default callsign to so that the application does not crash at first run :) Ole, have you tried the latest test application (V1.3.12RC1) as referenced in my previous message? 73, John

Hi John,
Apologies for tardy reply. I compared the above with a test message I sent to myself and the headers and footer are samey-same with variation for time of sending etc. . I have "NOCAL" for call sign. Now I know what that stands for. It'd been a puzzle wondering why Northern California, e.g. NOCAL was being referenced....:) 73, KI7MBR Ole

Be sure to notify your listener audience if you decide to include the MFSK wide modes in an HF/AM broadcast. Those mode are only in 4.1.15.05 and higher. These are experimental modes and may or may not be a permanent part of the fldigi modem suite. Your broadcast results will be invaluable to the developer, John KF4YFD. David

I do have a question though. This has been going on for many versions for me. When I put a call in the call box and I click on the QRZ globe, it brings me to the QRZ.com site and populates the calls information. It will not fill in the rest of the boxes on the program, qth, op, st, L or azmith. As I said QRZ works fine. when I click on the notetab, I get a QRZ error: username/ password required. I have tried many things but I haven't got that to work again. Bruce WA1YZN

I just downloaded and tested 4.1.15.05 on a Dell Latitude Notebook, Windows 10 Professional, 64 bit. Windows Defender did require specific download and install execution permission (as usual). The Windows firewall required permission for access to local host socket services. Shut fldigi 4.1.15.05 down and restarted ... restart is much faster than 4.1.15. Please try deleting, repeat the download and execution. Dave

Re: Transmit audio level for FM VHF?
Steve Bellner
Neil, W0NRP, I may be answering the wrong question but this has been my experience with HF sound card and VHF sound card settings using a signalink. On HF you put the radio power on 100 % and adjust the power level with the signalink TX pot. You can adjust it down to 1 or 2 watts. I usually set mine to about 25 to 35 watts depending on the band and conditions. While observing the waterfall on FLdigi, adjust the RX pot until you have about 50% yellow and 50% blue. This will bring out the weak signals but not too weak.
For VHF you can hit the tune button in the program and listen on your HT. Adjust theTX volume up until it is distorted then adjust it down until it is undistorted. This also works for VHF using other sound card modes. 73, Steve / W8TER

Ok, got AndFlmsg up and running again. For what it is worth, it took adding the "FTP plug in" to "Total Commander," the phone's file manager. The Google file manager seemed stymied. Why this worked, don't know. But was able to reopen the latest AndFlmsg version and get it going. Hope info useful, 73, KI7MBR Ole

Whatever the Android OS update yesterday did to my phone appears to have blocked;
Thus the best I can do re the image in the preceding message is to say that the header and footer sure look similar to what appeared on my phone. Apologies..... 73 Ki7MBR Ole

Hi John,
Apologies for the late reply. The above looks familiar. However, my phone updated its Android operating system and a number of things now do not work, including AndFlmsg. The phone refuses to take the location permission. I just deleted the app, will reload and report. Might be another day or two. 73, Ole
