Ok, good info. It's the virtual USB/Serial interface - recognized and accessed but does not stay selected in the GUI.

So it works with FLDIGI, but won't load the correct audio port on FLDIGI boot?

Re: CW Interface

Lee, Thanks for the feedback. Yes, I'm aware of the info you provided. I have an assembled MORTTY that is loaded with the sketch that emulates WinKeyer. It works with FLDIGI, but only if I manually reassign the port to which the mortty is connected and reconnect it each time I start FLDIGI. Is this expected behavior with this sketch installed? I could modify the MORTTY (small physical change required to support nanoIo) and install the nanoio sketch. However, I'm not interested in that approach at this time. Robie-AJ4F

Hi Robby, at hamprojects.info. not a secure site. Mortty is a Do-It-Yourself construction project that provides a miniature enclosure and a computing platform for K0SM’s TinyFSK RTTY Keyer software or K3NG’s CW Keyer software. It optionally can be configured to run W1HKJ’s nanoIO software using fldigi.

All, I'm a new user and would like to know it if FLDIGI supports the MORTTY device for a CW interface? Robie - AJ4F

Re: FLAMP New feature idea - maybe
has anyone played around with FSQ in FLDIG? It has some options for directed messaging and "allcall" broadcast messaging, ironically I'd say "similar to JS8Call" but it's clear JS8 call modeled itself after FSQCall which was also integrated or functionally adopted into FLDIGI. I'd love to see that FSQ op mode allow variations in OPmode but with the same "directed" and "non-directed" messaging. Add in some integration to FLAMP or FLMSG and you are getting pretty close to some store and forward capabilities.
Any thoughts along those lines since the previous posts in this thread?

OS X install dmg's for G4 motorola processor
#build
The results of the poll of users on Apple OS-X computers is closed. Only one person responded as still using the G4 dmg distributions, but with the ability to compile from source. I expect to release updates to fldigi, flrig and fllog this weekend, but without a G4 dmg. This will save me several hours in release preparation. I will still entertain special requests to build specific programs for the G4 target machine.

Re: Problem with FLDIGI Input.
Ed,
You can try this alpha version of fldigi, 4.1.02.44 posted at http://www.w1hkj.com/alpha/fldigi/ The pop-up message dialogs do not capture keyboard activity in this version. David

We have used FLDIGI on a repeater and worked well. Have no filters on no notch and if using a Signalink the delay all the way to the left. Larry KF5MLP

I tried MT63-2000L and MFSK-128. I'm sure the signal levels are OK. Next time I get a chance to talk to the repeater custodian I'll ask about tone notching. Given that we routinely use FLMsg and FLDigi over these repeaters, would that indicate it's NOT using tone notching, or would that be more of a problem for FLAmp? I agree with your guess. I'll ask the custodian about pre and de-emphasis also. Bart N5BLP

Re: FLAmp on VHF through linked repeaters
You did not say what modes are being tested on the linked
repeaters. My guess is that one or more of the repeaters are
distorting the signal with the pre and deemphasis associated with
voice repeaters. You also might check to be sure that the repeaters
do not have tone notching enabled. Lastly, the signal levels should
never drive the repeater audio sections into clipping.
