Guys,

I have been chatting with Rodney directly to see if I might be able to help. Like many, I have events scheduled in March. So I encouraged him to keep reaching out to his fellow hams. So my bad. I know this is a stretch for this group but ... Having had this surgery I know rehab is required and it takes many weeks. So if you can help with transportation please go directly to him and volunteer or offer assistance. Brian. AA4UJ Brian D Robertson 149 Lady Banks Rd. Aiken, SC 29803 803.226.3144 BDRobertson71@...

That may be because the driver would not want to be responsible for a medical emergency. If your wife accompanied you both ways it might work. Call the place.

Re: Still need hep

I have never used UBER or LYFT, but I would think this could be exactly what you need. I don't know how to register with them but I assume a web search would reveal all that.
Perhaps somebody familiar with the service will chime in.

Still need hep
Getting to surgery and back home.
I saw the doctor Monday afternoon. He said he will be removing the bone spurs and repair the torn rotator cuff tear. I am waiting on scheduling to set a date and time in March. It will be at the Evans Surgery Center. I am going to try to get a time not to be there before the chickens get up. It will be outpatient surgery. I will compensate time with a $150.00 gift card. I want March so it will give me time to get my driving licensing renewed. I have a March 8th date. I have to some paper work online first to get a time from the other group.

Welcome
How (and Why) to be a Space Advocate
It's not enough to be a fan of space—we need to be advocates as well. Casey will talk through the ways in which individuals can participate as citizens to advance the cause of space exploration, and why it is so important to engage on these issues. He will also outline the ways in which government and private space exploration efforts depend on good policy and good funding—and how you can support both.
Speaker: Casey Dreier, https://www/planetary.org/profiles/casey-dreier is Chief Advocate & Senior Space Policy Adviser for The Planetary Society. Casey is the public face of The Planetary Society's efforts to advance 1. planetary exploration, 2. planetary defense, and 3.the search for life. He educates and empowers the organization's members to take political action. He writes, teaches, and speaks to The Society's members, the public, and policymakers to impress upon them the importance, relevancy, and excitement of space exploration.
We are pleased to welcome Casey to our Astronomy Club of Augusta.

Schofield Middle School
Ron Lee
Could someone please give me contact info for the teacher/advisor for the SMS radio club? I’d like to reach out to the science department on behalf of the Augusta Astronomy Club, one of my other interests in addition to ham radio. We are contacting local schools to see if their is interest in astronomy presentations. If any hams here are interested, the club has a Zoom meeting Friday, March 26 at 7 PM with a presentation about the Planetary Society. If their is interest I’ll post the meeting link.
If anyone can help with the SMS info, please call me rather than posting online. My number is below. Thanks for your help and interest. 73, Ron Lee WB4RXZ 803.360.2625
