Bicycle Across South Carolina (BASC) Communications Support

CSRA AMATEUR RADIO TEAM
 
Bicycle Across South Carolina (BASC) is requesting ham safety communications support. This event will be in Edgefield County and surrounding counties. Two routes per day 60 and 25 mile over paved and unpaved roads. Different routes each day. 250 riders have signed up as of now. Registration remains open. This is a FUN ride.
 
Date: October 15 (Friday); 16 (Saturday); 17 (Sunday), 2021
Time: 0800 to 1200 hours estimate. Arrive at assigned location 0730 hours.
 
Communications request: We will use 146.85 MHz (91.5 Hz) repeater.
        Seven hams per day, nominally. To volunteer to support the BASC, send me an email with available date and if you have a preferred event location. Locations below. This event could be a good test of your Go Kits.
 
October 15 (Friday), 2021
 
1. Net control Station at Hickory Hill Farm (Base camp for event).     Radio >  10 watt or higher, power supply and antenna.
2. Three rest stops. Radio > HT, but may require mobile  10 watt or     higher
3. Lead vehicle. (Event vehicle). Radio > Mobile 10 watt, antenna
4. Two sag/floater vehicles (Event vehicles). Radio > Mobile 10 watt, antenna
5. Tail vehicle. (Event vehicle). Radio > Mobile 10 watt, antenna
 
 
October 16 (Saturday), 2021
