Curious, but nice if it works.

Yes the help is to update but the “README_ABOUT_RTL_SDR_AND_AUTHORS.txt” file will remain (at least to thanks to authors of these DLL).

For information, note that these dll files are available here (however also in the Multipsk package).

Hi Patrick,

I removed the “RTL_TCP” sub-directory and connected an RTL-SDR (v3) dongle.

All is working fine.

Maybe it is time to update the HELP and maybe also remove the “README_ABOUT_RTL_SDR_AND_AUTHORS.txt” file.

If you use a VAC, you must not click on  "soundcard+speaker" because Multipsk is no more used in SdR configuration. But you must select on Multipsk the sound card corresponding to your VAC and the send an audio signal from SDR# to Multipsk.

I launched again the zadig, did everything but everytime I click on the sdr/rtl I get the same pop up with the error. So the only chance to use multipsk is to click on "soundcard+speaker" and use virtual audio tunnelling?

I tested the dongle with Sdr#, I don't have other software for pc. I also have tested it on my android phone with specific app and it works.
Thanks for helping but in this case I have to surrender against will. I would have used multipsk to enjoy a larger screen but so far our efforts were in vain.

Yes a VAC between SDR# and other programs could be used.

Patrick,

When I install Multipsk using “MULTIPSK_setup (4.38.1).exe” the directory “RTL_TCP” sub-directory is not created.
The
“Access to the configuration screen”   in the “Help_PSK.chm  tells you to do that yourself..

So what's the solution? An older version?

Re: RTL-SDR interface to Multipsk

Patrick Lindecker

OK for the installation. So the problem is probably around ZADIG (which is beyond Multipsk).  I don’t know what SDR# does.

Here is what I noted in the Multipsk manual (but perhaps a bit old):

Note relative to the installation of a RTL/SDR key:

Briefly speaking, it is reminded that once the RTL/SDR key installed:

  • Windows proposes to instal a driver, let Windows does its job,
  • don't install the driver supplied with the supplier CD (or mini CD),
  • download the 2.0.1.154 version of Zadig, and start it,
  • possibly, click on "Options" then "List all devices",
  • instal the WinUSB driver for the "Bulk-In, Interface (Interface 0)" or "RTL2838..." device.

For more details, see the first part of http://rtlsdr.org/softwarewindows

You will have advantage to go to Internet and see how to use Zadig. Once initialized, your RTL/SDR must work on all the programs accepting this equipment (included Multipsk), and not only SDR#.

>why this damn folder doesn't create itself during installation.

Sorry it was my error. There is no such directory in installed versions (only on my local version ☺). All necessary files are installed in the main directory.

I installed three times multipsk and used zadig two times launching it from the sdr# directory. I don't think a fourth will solve. I don't undestand the role of Zadig and I also can't figure out why this damn folder doesn't create itself during installation. Do you have any idea?

So the Multipsk installation is not correct. The best is to remove your Multipsk directory and reinstall Multipsk using the last “MULTIPSK_setup.exe”, so to have a standard Multipsk directory.

Moreover, did you initialize your RTL/SDR using Zadig?

I checked and there is not such directory.
Furthermore, as you requested, when I click on sdr/rtl, the pop up that appears says "Problem on a RTL DLL (rtlsdr.dll, libusb-1.0.dll or msvcr100.dll)".

Please read messages. I repeat my questions :

In your Multipsk directory, have you a “RTL_TCP” sub-directory.

What is displayed when you click on “RTL and mode selection”?
