As said by Fred, the VDL2 signal must not be centered at 0 Hz but around 12 kHz. For details, with the mouse right click on a VDL2 button to call the contextual manual about VDL2, then look, in particular, at the “Use in reception” chapter.

Hi Fred,
you have been very helpful to me and I think as you say, it is very sensitive to the signal.
As you have seen from my photos, I have the signal centered at 0 (zero) and if I do not center it.
I have to work on the signal level. I'll try and let you know.

Also, I have found that VDL2 decoding is very sensitive to levels.

Goodmorning everyone. Last night I tried with VDL2 with your instructions also with the .bat file for the second port of the RSP Duo's VHF antenna. Everything works ... and as in the photo the signals arrive and also the classic noise of the VDL2 are heard but the decoding does not arrive. It is certainly a problem of fine frequency centering. Other infa to suggest? Thank you all

Hi Patrick and thanks for the answer. Yes you are right. Both rx and multipsk do not work. I closed RSPDuo and Multipsk's is connected. I have to work on frequency centering ... because the signal is vertical and not horizontal of the VDL2

HI Maurizio,

You can access the other antenna ports on an RSPDuo,
but you have to run a .bat file first,  which is part of the
rsp-tcp.exe program capability in the SDRUno program.

Here is a sample to turn on the Tuner2 50 Ohm antenna port:

rsp_tcp.exe -E -P1

(-P0 = PORT A, -P1 = PORT B, -P2 = HIz)

This works fine for me under rsp-tcp.exe Version 1.0.

The note indicates the "P" code for the various ports.

After activating the program, leave it running. You will see
the control data going to the RSP in a DOS box. 

When set up this way, the Bias-T can also be controlled,
by the "Options (port/address)" button on the MultiPSK
Configuration Screen.

I am not entirely sure I understand what you mean but BOTH antenna inputs on Tuner 1 of the RSPduo are available. For VDL2 you would use the 50Ohm rather than the high Z IF you are using third-party software to control the device

Use of Tuner 2 (which only has a single, 50Ohm, antenna port) in third party software is generally not an option so far

I read this in the link arrived.
known problems RSP Duo / The RSP Duo works but only on the default antenna port.
 
The default port is 1 the HF one and then the VDL2 that are in VHF on port 2 cannot be deciphered?

I agree that the positions as 114°52'N 062°48'E  are harebrained.

 

The positions are protected by a sort of CRC code (BCH) on 21 bits. On Multipsk, it is admitted one error on data which is fixed (thanks to the BCH code). Having a bad transmission considered as a good transmission is a question of probability. Even with one correction, this probability is very low. Now, if you want to be sure, I could add an option to remove this possibility of correction, so as to strongly “harden” the condition of consideration of a received EPRIB transmission (the probability of bad reception will be reduced by a factor of about 82).

 

In your case, I rather think that the position given by the external navigation device is simply wrong (or this device does not exist).
