I have had MPSK for about 4yrs now and will admit yes I to have had a few " teething troubles" with it and Display Launcher I will add that those troubles 
have probably been down to my own inexperience in the dark art of computers I am pleased to say all those troubles have now gone and both programs 
running fine as Mr Simpson will be pleased to hear !!  So that brings me to soundcard problems Has any one confirmed with Microsoft that this problem 
lies with them and there updates or is it just hear say ? Yes I now use an external sound card which appears to work not perfect but it works.

Now I am not the sharpest tool in the box on computers I will say! But through time and perseverance I got then to work there is always an answer
So if it is Microsoft that's messing things Can we all direct our complaints to them instead of program authors who have no hand in it

I have used MultiPSK for over 10 years here and have never had any problems getting it to work on either Windows 7, 8.1 or 10 home. I was a beta tester for Win 10 and received literally dozens of updated versions, sometimes one a week and have never had a sound card problem with it.

I also have a Lenovo cheap laptop which is dual booted into Linux and Windows 10 pro. It also runs MultiPSK fine without any problems, so I have no idea what people are doing which causes problems with Win 10, certainly no update I have ever received has ever stopped the sound working.

'prolly the old microphone problem. Supposedly MS said they were going to fix this.

Anywho, you will have to fool with the microphone choices and maybe plug something into the speaker jacks to get w10 to behave.

Tom Recently I un installed MPSK and reinstalled and had trouble using Display Launcher
It just would not connect The trouble turned out to be a faulty download MPSK appeared to be
Ok receiving and decoding but not connecting to DL As regards the sound card yes that's
Microsoft messing around in the background with your soundcard settings I now use an
External soundcard not perfect but at least it works

Ladies and gentlemen, with every update of Windows the settings of the microphone change (in connection with your privacy). And the input and / or output port of your soundcard will also be reset. I use Voice Meeter Banana and have to reset Windows so that he sees the VoiceMeeter In and Output as the default device.

I wonder if the old “fix” from Win7 days will work ? I vaguely remember having the “no sound card “ issue several years ago and Patrick suggested I simply insert a patch cord in to my lap top’s audio in jack. After removing the inert patch cable Mutipsk recognized my sound card and the “trick “ was not needed anymore.

It means that either none jack is connected to the sound card input or Windows does not detect any sound card (perhaps due to a Windows 10 update which has deactivated your internal sound card, see previous messages on this subject, on this forum).

Multipsk (32 bits application) works with 32 or 64 bits PCs.

Hi Tom,

I work with Multipsk under Win 10 Pro 64-bit without any problems. Like some others. 

Did you try to run it as administrator?  Not only the installation.

  • Kill all background running tasks of Multipsk or make a reboot. 
  • Right-click the program and go to Properties –> Shortcut.
  • Go to Advanced.
  • Check Run as Administrator checkbox. Run as administrator option for program.
Maybe this helps to get Multipsk run on your pc's.

There is none. 
 
Note : I can send all my server files (PHP…) (for one mode or all modes) for the ones wishing to use them in a local or public server (in replacement of http://rg16.free.fr). However, I‘m not at all a specialist of PHP…

Hello -

I've been sending my GMDSS loggings via the "Traffic" facility on the main MultiPSK interface.  Normally when I click that button, I get a display of the last messages received at the server (those of others, plus my own).

But within the last day, I've been getting a warning text in that display, in blue, reading "Attention the server address is incorrect.  Let modify it ("Modification" button)".  And I get a "Script Error" requestor that advises me of an error at a googletagservices.com, and asking if I want to continue running scripts on that page.

The address that's in the field next to the "Modification" button has not changed:  http://rg16.free.fr .  So if that one is not working - what should the new server address be?
