Re: Need a Sat-Nav?
Hi Carol
So what's Garmin actually like for backups and how long do they offer support to their products please?
Always been a TomTom fan until their software update "bricked" my Camper GO

Re: Need a Sat-Nav?
Hi Trevor
Hope you didn't pay too much for it - it's obsolete now!! (https://www.activegps.co.uk/tomtom-trucker-6000.htm)
Only reason I'm posting is because I purchased the GO1005 camper version

Re: Insurance - that old chestnut!
Tim:
Think it's a matter of shopping around - we do every year.
We've been with Saga for the past few years (not always the absolute cheapest but you can usually haggle to match a better offer).

Alan, if you can't use your shower because of the design, maybe you just bought the wrong MH for your purposes? I stay on farm sites, aires and THSs a lot, my shower is great because I knew I would

Re: Camping under covid
Hi Richard,
Can you share the location of your favourite site or would you rather keep it relatively undiscovered?
Like you we enjoy France but the aires we have traditionally used are getting so busy

Re: Camping under covid
This mail has reminded me why we always holiday in our van abroad! I could stay in my favourite site in France for twelve nights at that rate.

Our Hymer is newish and I know why they don't use the MH shower as
their design is so poor.

Re: Camping under covid
Very interesting to read of your experience, Steve, as I'm hoping to
head off from my 100-day garden pitch soon. Would have today's VAT
reduction, I wonder, made a difference to the 'ouch' fees? So

Steve,
So much for the information that’s sent with the booking!
I think the answer is to do what you think is the safest method whether others do or not.
I’ve not had any problems paying

Camping under covid
Hi,
We decided to set off to North Yorkshire and had booked a while ago at a couple of CMC sites.
Arrived on Monday at the first one - met by the warden who came out to the van so had to wind down

Surely its reccomended to have a specific one for motorhomers?
I've got a Garmin Dezl but I do drive larger vehicles. I'm guessing that no one is much worried about worrying about that stuff on top
