Sorry, Just rang Peugoet who said only full replacement will do, and they're blaming the sterling B 2 B charger for the manner in which it works for the failure of the alternator.

I have a Valeo 96 alternator on my van which I have now been assured is faulty, as it should give out 14 volts and only gives out 13.8
