I also have a tv card which plugs into the usb port on the laptop. Unlike Phil's, mine is terrestrial TV and FM only but was £50 or so.
It's called Win TV and is made by Hauppauge - but shop

I have the same setup, but using an IPAQ 5450. I find the big advantage of
the bluetooth is that I can mount it in the roof vent and get excellent
satellite coverage in all conditions.
