Nigel.

The supplement with the CC magazine states Sat and Sun for both Rotterdam
and Zeebrugge crossings.

I checked to see if the discount applied for late December but it was no go.

I'm planning to use some of my Tesco vouchers on a night crossing from
Harwich to Hook of Holland for the outward crossing. I'll book my return
crossing (Rotterdam-Hull) some time in June with the Caravan Club just a few
days before crossing.

Has anyone else been invited to become 'a friend' on Grouply by someone
calling himself
'taff' without being known to them in any way other than through motorhome
list (I gather)?

I'm not very comfortable about this kind of unsolicited approach from
someone I don't know,
any opinions or advice?

Hi
I dont normally reply to letters but I too have had a request from
this "taff" I did not even open the email just deleted it. This thing
shoud not be allowed to happen. All I can say is tht whovere it is
must lead a very boring life if he/she ca find nothing better to do
thank contact people not known to them.

There are no length or height supplements and trailers/caravans of any

Bertie you wrote:-

Is it a luxury? - well only you can decide. I've had it fitted and
after I'd calibrated it correctly, I find it a significant aid to
driving.

I have the extra memory unit that holds an extra three preset speeds,
which can be reset at any time. They are set to 30mph, 40mph and 55mph.
So the first two stop me from exceeding speed limits, which is so
difficult these days, with so many signs and some that appear to be
somewhat 'hidden'.

When you try to drive at a set speed, it is easy to gradually increase
your speed as others change their speeds. (Don't want to be over taken
by a MH!!!) CC will stop you increasing your speed.

On motorways etc there are two problems.

Too many vehicles overtake, pull in front of you, then slow down. With
CC you have to disengage it by pressing the break peddle. Without CC,
you just slow slightly.

LCVs are limited to about 56mph. If you travel just below this speed,
say 50mph , then they take a long time to pass and then pull in front of
you, too close and into your 'safety zone'.

However, these problems can be overcome and overall I consider CC to be
an advantage.

The reason I had to calibrate it correctly was because I made a big
mistake by having Dave Newell install it. He does not know how to do it
and also does not supply the customer information document.

Fortunately I was advised of this by the main supplier.

Hi,

I would asume such people are trying to start a general chat group. I think
the site owner gets first pickings of any spare talent....but I may be doing
him an injustice.

I once managed to find myself a member of such a group, three men (including
the owner and myself) and hundreds of mature/elderly women. All very
sensible and decent, but all in USA. I had to leave! Anything up to 200 mails each
morning, same in the evening. All wishing each other a "happy day". My delete
key was red-hot. Pity, there WERE some sensible people in the group.

-----------------------------------------------------------

Yes I guess you could ad-hoc it, I was thinking of a 'proper job' in a
similar way to domestic installations with a separate heating circuit
suitably protected against frost, bacteria, algae, extra pressure, etc and
then needing to be isolated from the fresh potable water with a heat
exchanger. All this being much more complicated and heavier and with some of
the weight in the wrong place.

PS. Remember to allow for significant expansion and also some sort of safety
vent in case of steam generation otherwise you'll blow your taps off!
