Re: Wifi dont work - localhost does not work

Clear up the google DNS cache by typing this in the Chrome browser

  • chrome://net-internals/#dns

will sometimes help.
I think in all cases morserinos Wifi will work, but some browsers fails with interpret local ip's. If so, most people
also can't  access their own router.

Nice article in the latest issue of Nuts and Volts magazine by Bryan Bergeron NU1N (Volume 40, issue 3, 2019, pages 82-87) about the Morserino-32.

Re: Wifi dont work

James Menendez

I have been having the same problem with my Morserino. Same symptoms.  Please let me know if you find a solution.

Same here. I've done many kits and repairs over the years and this was a pleasure to build!

Detailed morserino build instructions you’ll find here: https://github.com/oe1wkl/Morserino-32/tree/master/Documentation/Assembly%20Instructions

Today Athur (DL2ART) published a video with build instructions, it’s in German language, but nevertheless could be of some help: https://youtu.be/3cK6geEnZFw

has anyone written or videoed the assembly of the morserino?

I think your wifi signal might be too weak. Put the Morserino really close to the WiFi router and try again...

Hej

Hi

I have made morserino-32 no 2, the first was sold to my cw teacher. I also made this one work the first time. But both times I have not been able to make wifi work. It asks well enough for network information and restarts the Morse movie, but when I try file upload it says it can't find wifi. Does anyone know what I'm doing wrong?

Well, that looks suspiciously like a bad solder joint at the speaker terminals (probably the ground side). Both the ground plane and the speaker together take up a lot of heat when soldering, so you really have to use a somewhat higher temperature and/or longer time for soldering the joint.

I would try resoldering the speaker (check the joints with a magnifying glass).

I’ve confirmed that the volume is turned all the way up, it works on headphones but not the external speaker.

Any ideas?

Maybe a reset or update?

Mostly I've used it with headphones but today I unplugged and the sound is not coming from the speaker as it has a few times in the past.

Could I have inadvertently disabled a setting or something?
