With the purchase of Twitter by Elon Musk, there was a reported spike in the use of racist epithets on Twitter. Do we have an opinion on this? Do we want Twitter to put a stop to this? If we do, what rules should we be be setting for this list?
I’d like to ask all those who have been union members to think back to meetings they attended. Were racist epithets a normal part of a union meeting? In your experience did it happen at all? If it did, did you just let it pass? Or did you call on the chair to bring the member to order? I’d like to suggest that the rules that apply in union meetings would be good rules for us apply here.
