But seriously, check out Robert Shelton's book NO DIRECTION HOME which is a really good biography of Dylan --- he (Dylan's) got MUCH more substance than your assertion --

But, as the French say, "Chaun a son gout!"   (everyone has their own form of gout!)

This is one canonical legacy from the Sixties that IMO really needs a second look and a firm shove back into its proper place.
